Job Description

Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with business and IT teams to understand and address SAP BW-related requirements and issues.

· Key role in the analysis, troubleshooting, maintenance, and enhancement of SAP Business Warehouse applications and front-end reports.

· Work closely with business users to gather requirements and design functional specifications for data warehousing and reporting solutions.

· Maintain a clear understanding of the potential impacts of proposed solutions on other areas of the system and/or project.

· Implement and ensure adherence to architecture guidelines, security standards, and best practices in SAP BW solutions.

· Define and promote best practices for SAP BW and BI solutions.

· Ensure BW solutions align with major stakeholders' KPI standards and long-term roadmaps.

· Collaborate with the administration team for system maintenance, upgrades, and performance tuning.

· BW-ABAP Debugging and code changes is must.

· Perform regular data quality checks, including:

o Process Chain monitoring

o Data reconciliation

o Monthly activities such as scheduled data uploads

o Daily data uploads

o Housekeeping and system maintenance

o Year-end activities, including bulk data uploads

o Handling service requests, including master data corrections

o Managing Change Requests (CRs)

o Incident management and troubleshooting issues efficiently

· Provide on-call and ad-hoc support based on business needs.

Skills

Domain

· Intermediate functional knowledge on the enterprise modules like Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain & Logistics, Quality, Customer relationship and Project Management

Technical

· 5-6 years of experience in SAP BW (BW 7.x, BW4HANA, BW on HANA) and reporting solutions.

· Strong experience in BW reporting, extraction, and modeling, with at least two end-to-end implementations.

· Expertise in ABAP for BW, including Start, End, Expert, and Field-level routines, as well as debugging skills.

· Experience in gathering requirements for BI reporting solutions, including data visualization.

· Hands-on experience in BEx queries, including variables, customer exits, filters, conditions, and selections.

· Ability to document technical designs and BI solutions in high-level and detailed design documents.

· Good understanding of SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and various SAP BusinessObjects (BO) tools; ability to collaborate with BO consultants effectively.

· Intermediate knowledge of databases and integration tools

· SAP certification in BW is preferred.

Interpersonal & Communication

· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

· Effective communication skills to bridge gaps between business users, developers, and IT support teams.

· Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment.

Work Location: Bangalore
