The Business Analytics Analyst is a developing professional role within the Citi Retail Services (CRS) organization, supporting key analytical functions across Customer Lifecycle, Marketing Analytics, and Retention strategies The analyst identifies problem statement, formulates recommendations, and interprets data to support strategic decision-making. The role involves researching and interpreting data, identifying, defining problem statements, and formulating recommendations. A good understanding of how the team interacts with cross-functional partners in accomplishing business objectives is essential.. The impact is direct but focused, primarily influencing the business through the quality of analytical tasks and services provided within the team.
Gather operational data from various cross-functional stakeholders to examine past business performance across customer lifecycle, marketing, and retention initiatives
Identify data patterns and trends, and provide insights to enhance business decision-making capability in areas such as business planning, process improvement, and solution assessment
Recommend actions for future developments and strategic business opportunities, as well as enhancements
May be involved in exploratory data analysis, confirmatory data analysis, and/or qualitative analysis
Translate data into consumer or customer behavioral insights to drive targeting, acquisition, segmentation, and retention strategies, and communicate findings clearly and effectively to business partners and senior leaders
Continuously improve processes and strategies by exploring and evaluating new data sources, tools, and capabilities to support marketing analytics
Work closely with business partners in building, implementing, tracking, and improving decision strategies across customer lifecycle
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency
Experience: 4+ years of relevant analytics experience.
Analytics experience within the credit cards domain would be a strong plus
Proficiency in SAS and SQL from a technical skillset standpoint is highly desirable
Nice-to-have: Experience with ECM lifecycle processes
