About Our Client

Our client is a well-established organization in the manufacturing sector, with a strong presence in Sri Lanka. The organization is committed to operational excellence, process improvement, and leveraging technology to enhance business efficiency. They are seeking an experienced SAP Technical Consultant to support and optimize their SAP environment.

The SAP Technical Consultant will be responsible for providing technical support, development, integration, customization, and maintenance of SAP systems. The role will work closely with functional teams and business users to understand requirements, troubleshoot technical issues, and deliver reliable SAP solutions aligned with business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and maintenance for SAP systems and applications.
• Develop, customize, and enhance SAP solutions based on business requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve SAP technical issues efficiently.
• Work closely with functional consultants and business stakeholders to understand technical requirements.
• Develop and maintain SAP reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms.
• Support integrations between SAP and other internal or external systems.
• Monitor SAP system performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Assist with SAP upgrades, patches, testing, and implementation activities.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation.
• Ensure SAP solutions follow organizational standards, security requirements, and best practices.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to SAP systems and business processes.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant SAP certification or professional qualification will be an added advantage.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in SAP technical consulting, development, or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of SAP technical architecture and development.
• Hands-on experience in SAP development, customization, integration, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with SAP implementation, upgrades, testing, and ongoing system support.
• Good understanding of SAP technical tools and programming concepts.
• Ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to system reliability and continuous improvement.
