Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced SAP Project Manager with a focus on SAP SuccessFactors implementations to lead customer projects through the full delivery lifecycle, from initiation through to go-live and transition into business-as-usual support.

The successful candidate will be responsible for project governance, planning, financial management, stakeholder engagement and delivery quality, ensuring projects are delivered in line with agreed timelines, budgets and business objectives.

The ideal candidate will have experience delivering SAP SuccessFactors implementations, alongside broader SAP Project Management experience and a strong understanding of SAP implementation methodologies, cloud solutions, HR business processes and business transformation. They will be comfortable leading multidisciplinary teams, managing complex stakeholder relationships and balancing customer outcomes with commercial performance.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Take overall responsibility for SAP SuccessFactors project delivery from initiation through to go-live, hypercare and transition into business-as-usual support.
• Manage project scope, plans, budgets, resources, timelines, dependencies, risks and quality.
• Establish effective project governance, reporting, change control and escalation processes.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams, coordinating SuccessFactors functional workstreams, technical teams, customer stakeholders, implementation partners and third-party providers.
• Build strong, trusted relationships with customers and act as a senior point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead steering committees, governance meetings, workshops and senior stakeholder updates, ensuring effective communication and timely decision-making.
• Oversee project activities across requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing, data migration, integrations, deployment and go-live.
• Coordinate dependencies across SuccessFactors modules, HR processes, SAP ERP/S/4HANA, payroll systems and third-party applications, where applicable.
• Ensure appropriate testing, data validation, deployment planning and post-go-live support arrangements are in place.
• Apply SAP Activate methodology and appropriate project delivery approaches throughout the implementation lifecycle, adapting to project size and complexity.
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, costs and resource requirements, maintaining commercial control and proactively addressing financial risks.
• Manage scope changes, change requests and their commercial implications, ensuring appropriate approval and documentation.
• Identify and manage project risks, issues, resource constraints and dependencies, ensuring timely resolution and escalation where required.
• Work closely with customer HR, IT and business stakeholders to ensure delivery aligns with business requirements and expected outcomes.
• Coordinate business change, stakeholder communications, training and adoption activities to support successful implementation and transition.
• Support account teams in identifying follow-on opportunities and additional value for customers.
• Contribute to proposals, bids, pre-sales activities and senior customer discussions where appropriate.
• Share knowledge, promote best practice and contribute to continuous improvement across the SAP practice.

Required Skills / Attributes:

• Significant experience as a Project Manager delivering SAP implementations, transformations or programmes.
• Proven experience managing projects through the full delivery lifecycle, from initiation through to go-live and transition.
• Experience delivering SAP SuccessFactors implementations, ideally across Employee Central and one or more additional SuccessFactors modules.
• Understanding of the SAP SuccessFactors implementation lifecycle, including design, configuration, testing, deployment and hypercare.
• Understanding of HR business processes and the challenges associated with cloud-based HR transformation.
• Experience coordinating HR functional teams, technical teams, customer stakeholders and third-party providers.
• Experience managing data migration, system integrations, testing and dependencies across connected business applications.
• Strong understanding and practical experience of SAP Activate methodology, with the ability to apply its principles throughout the project lifecycle.
• Broader SAP Project Management experience across solutions such as SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, SAP BTP or other SAP technologies is advantageous.
• Experience managing complex projects involving multiple workstreams, stakeholders and third-party providers.
• Demonstrable experience managing project scope, budgets, forecasts, resources, timelines, risks, issues and dependencies.
• Strong financial and commercial awareness, including project financial management, forecasting and change control.
• Experience managing project profitability, margin and resource utilisation is advantageous.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and maintain accountability across customer, internal and partner resources.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience working with senior and C-level stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and influencing skills.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, organisational and escalation management capabilities.
• Experience with Agile, Waterfall or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
• Experience managing cloud-based implementations, including release management and post-go-live support, is advantageous.
• Experience supporting organisational change, training, stakeholder adoption or business process transformation is desirable.
• Experience with SAP Cloud ALM or other project delivery and governance tools is advantageous.
• SAP Activate certification is desirable.
• PRINCE2, PMP or equivalent project management certification is desirable.
• Industry experience in areas such as manufacturing, engineering, consumer products or wholesale is advantageous.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
