Job Description

Job Purpose:

Performs the programming, design, deployment and maintenance of SAP PO solutions. This resource will provide subject matter expertise of the PO toolset and related technologies. Work experience in Oil & Gas Industry is preferable.

Tasks and duties:

• Possess a solid understanding of SAP PO technical design and infrastructure
• Proficient in developing design-time artifacts (data types, mappings, service interfaces, etc.), modeling business processes and configuring routing rules (Integration Flows), with expertise in the areas below:
• Practical experience with SAP PO 7.31 & 7.5
• NetWeaver Developer Studio
• Standard SAP Adapters, 3rd party libraries
• Experience with ESR configuration and modeling.
• ABAP Proxy and related configuration
• Web services, WSDL, XML, XSD
• Familiarity with NWDI (DTR, CBS and CMS)
• CTS
• PO testing, administration, and monitoring
• BPM (configuring, process modeling, monitoring)
• Facilitate requirements gathering
• Create and maintain technical specification/design documents
• Perform PO troubleshooting, analysis, exception handling and reprocessing as needed to maintain reliable day-to-day operations
• Perform performance analysis and tuning of PO components and interfaces
• Establish PO standards, best practices, and strategy for the best use of the PO toolset
• Lead team learning sessions to promote knowledge transfer
• Perform related duties as assigned
• Complete special projects and other duties as assigned

Qualifications and skills:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 10+ years experience in the IT industry with a minimum of 5 years of experience in PI/PO development, environment administration and support on 7.31 (EHP1) & 7.5 releases
• Strong knowledge of SAP NetWeaver, Java, SAP BPM, SAP BRM, SAP UI5, SAP WebDynPro Java
• Strong experience in software Design Patterns (OOP), architecture style (SOA, REST, API) & architectural patterns (MVC)
• Experience in any one of the modern JavaScript frameworks (Node.js, React.js, Angular.js, Vue.js)

  • Solid knowledge and experience in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap
  • Strong experience and in-depth knowledge of .NET infrastructure, ASP.NET framework, MS SQL Server
  • Experience with Web Services, WCF, OData, Web API
  • Experience in object-database mapper for .NET (Entity Framework, N-Hibernate)
  • Experience with development source control (Git, TFS) and CI/CD (Azure DevOps)
  • Experience in requirements gathering, graphical mapping and documenting technical designs
  • Expertise in PO message mapping techniques, monitoring tools, caches, transports, OSS Notes and their application to the SAP landscape
  • Expertise designing integration content in the Enterprise Services Repository
  • Expertise configuring integration content in the Integration Directory
  • Solid understanding of the System Landscape Directory
  • Expertise in data element types and various file formats (CSV, XML, etc.)
  • Expertise in data transmission methods (FTP, sFTP, AS2, etc.)
  • Solid database development skills including knowledge of SQL, Oracle and table design
  • Working knowledge of Web Services, RFC, and data exchange via Idoc
