New Jersey Resources (NJR) is seeking a SAP Sr. Business Application Developer to support NJR's customer experience solutions with a focus on S/4 Hana Utilities with Rise. Design, develop, and implement S/4 Hana Utilities solutions to support the utilities industry's specific requirements. Analyze business processes, configure the SAP modules, develop custom enhancements, integrate with other systems, and provide ongoing support and maintenance. Perform functional reviews, technical high level, and detail level designs, build and review solutions from start to finish.
Major Responsibilities
• Provides ongoing support and maintenance for S/4 Hana Utilities solutions, troubleshooting issues, resolving incidents, and implementing enhancements as required.
• Collaborates with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications for S/4 Hana Utilities solutions.
• Configures the S/4 Hana Utilities module according to business needs, including setting up master data, rates, tariffs, billing cycles, and customer service processes.
• Develops custom enhancements and functionalities using ABAP programming, including user exits, customer enhancements, IDOCs, and Business Add-Ins.
Integrates S/4 Hana Utilities with other systems and modules, such as SAP C4C, SEW or third-party applications, ensuring seamless data flow and process integration.
• Conducts unit testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the quality and reliability of developed solutions.
• Prepares technical documentation, including functional and technical specifications, configuration guides, and user manuals.
• Conduct knowledge transfer sessions and provide training to end-users and support teams.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, project managers, and infrastructure teams, to ensure effective solution delivery.
• Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and management.
Stays up to date with the latest SAP developments, technologies, and industry trends while delivering innovative solutions and improving processes.
• Configures Billing Master Data setup, billing, invoicing, rates, and tariffs.
• Works with billing processes such as Meter to Cash and Budget Billing.
• Develops print (billing, invoice, etc) solutions to integrate with S/4 Hana Utilities.
Position Requirements:
• Bachelors degree in related field.
• 5 to 6 years of experience in implementation/support projects.
• Functional knowledge of S/4 Hana Utilities.
• Expertise in ABAP programming, S/4 Hana Utilities technologies and SAP data migration tools.
• Knowledge of SAP technologies, including SAP Cloud Platform, SAP Integration technologies (BTP) and other relevant integration protocols (API, JSON, SFTP).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to navigate complex and ambiguous situations, including analysis of complex business requirements to propose appropriate solutions.
• Understanding of utilities industry processes, such as metering, billing, customer service, and energy data management.
• Knowledge of integration techniques and experience integrating S/4 Hana Utilities with other systems and modules.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and collaborate with stakeholders at various levels.
• Experience in SAP C4C and understanding of integrated systems (such as SAP CPI, Oracle ERP, Agent Desktop, Billing, Work & Asset Management, and Maximo).
• Experience with Device Management (DM), Billing and Invoicing, FICA, Sales and Distribution (SD) is preferred.
• Certification in relevant SAP modules or technologies is desirable.

Other Details:
Location type is Hybrid, 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.
Compensation: Expected base pay range for this role will be $92,500- $125,000.
Base pay is based on several factors including, experience, skills, and knowledge.
This role will be eligible to participate in an annual short term incentive program.
