emergiTEL is hiring a Manager, SAP Solutions – Centre of Excellence Manager for our client in the food manufacturing industry. This is a Permanent role.

Compensation: $125,000 - $145,000/year

Location: North York, Ontario (Full-time, On-site)

Job Description (English)

• Lead the SAP functional team across Order-to-Cash, Procurement, Plan-to-Manufacture, Record-to-Report, and Extended Warehouse Management.
• Manage a team of five functional leads and provide hands-on leadership by supporting configuration, testing, defect resolution, and business process design.
• Drive design quality within and across SAP streams while ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Partner with business process owners, master data teams, technical teams, integration teams, program leadership, systems integrators, and AMS providers.
• Establish and maintain master data standards, governance practices, and data quality measurements.
• Own functional testing execution across multiple test cycles and manage the defect backlog with measurable progress.
• Define and enforce documentation standards and ensure all process and design documentation remains current.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with business stakeholders and process owners.
• Develop and implement the SAP Centre of Excellence operating model for post-go-live support.
• Manage demand intake, release management, enhancement backlogs, service relationships, and capability development after go-live.
• Assess team capability and depth across functional streams and identify development opportunities.
• Support capability-building initiatives, including succession planning and conversion of contractor positions into permanent roles where appropriate.
• Ensure end-user training is delivered by internal team members who participated in testing and implementation activities.
• Manage third-party Application Management Services (AMS) providers and ensure service delivery aligns with contractual commitments.
• Participate directly in stream-level activities whenever additional support is required.
• Support the continued rollout of SAP S/4HANA to additional business entities following initial go-live.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum eight years of SAP functional delivery experience.
• Minimum three years leading SAP functional teams.
• Experience leading at least one complete SAP implementation lifecycle through go-live and hypercare.
• Hands-on SAP configuration experience in at least two SAP modules.
• Experience establishing or managing an SAP Application Support or Centre of Excellence function.
• Experience managing third-party AMS providers.
• Strong knowledge of SAP master data governance, ownership models, standards, and quality metrics.
• Ability to provide hands-on functional support when required.
• Degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• SAP certification in at least one module is considered an asset.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or food distribution environments.
• Experience with multi-entity SAP rollouts.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA, including cloud-based deployments.
• Experience transitioning contract resources into permanent organizational capability.
