The SAP Solution Architect is responsible for designing and architecting end-to-end SAP solutions across SAP S/4HANA, SAP Business One, and SAP Cloud Migration Services for Vodacom’s enterprise and mid-market clients. The role’s primary purpose is to ensure that clients can modernise, migrate, and optimise their SAP landscapes through well-architected, secure, and scalable cloud-enabled solutions.
This position focuses on cloud migration architecture and transformation enablement, providing expert guidance in moving SAP workloads from on-premise or legacy environments to public, private, or hybrid cloud infrastructures — including Vodacom Cloud, AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. The architect will assess existing client environments, define target-state architectures, and develop migration roadmaps aligned with SAP best practices, RISE with SAP frameworks, and Vodacom’s cloud-first strategy.

The SAP Solution Architect works closely with Vodacom’s client engagement, pre-sales, and delivery teams to design comprehensive SAP-to-Cloud migration architectures. This includes evaluating infrastructure options, defining integration blueprints between SAP and Vodacom’s cloud ecosystem, and ensuring compliance with data security, governance, and performance standards.
A key responsibility of the role is to bridge business and technical requirements, translating client objectives into deployable SAP architectures that minimise risk, accelerate deployment, and maximise ROI. The architect will also provide design oversight and advisory support during project execution to ensure that implemented solutions remain aligned with the approved architecture.
Ultimately, the purpose of this role is to enable Vodacom’s clients to modernise their SAP environments through intelligent, cloud-ready architectures — ensuring that every migration delivers resilience, scalability, and business agility within the broader digital transformation journey.
