The SAP Solution Architect plays a critical role in shaping Convatec’s global Supply Chain, Finance and Procurement technology ecosystem across SAP platforms, ECC/S4HANA and related modules & linked applications. The role is responsible for designing scalable, secure, and future-ready architectures that enable Supply Chain, Finance and Procurement business processes.

The SAP Solution Architect operates as a senior solution architect in SAP ecosystem and products, partnering closely with business stakeholders across Supply Chain, Finance, Procurement, HR, IT and external technology partners.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end solution architecture for SAP platforms including ECC, S/4HANA, IBP, MDG, TM, Datasphere, and SAC, ensuring seamless integration with Convatec’s enterprise systems.

• Design scalable, API-led architectures leveraging SAP BTP, REST, OData, middleware, and event-driven patterns to enable interoperability across global systems.

• Produce high-quality architectural documentation (HLA, HLD) and enforce adherence to enterprise architecture standards throughout project delivery.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, engineering leads, and vendors to define the architectural runway for SAP programs and related initiatives.

• Assess existing solutions to identify gaps in scalability, security, performance, and compliance; propose future-state architectures aligned with Convatec’s strategic objectives.

• Govern SAP platforms and integrations with systems such as TrackWise, MES, LIMS, LAM, CRM, ServiceNow, analytics platforms, and third-party solutions.

• Ensure robust integration patterns between SAP and external logistics, financial platforms, and enterprise systems.

• Support RFP processes, vendor selection, and TCO analysis for SAP-related technologies and services.

• Advocate privacy-by-design, security-by-design, and AI-by-design principles within SAP architecture and related processes.

• Drive SAP-related components of global digital and supply chain transformation programs, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards.

• Act as Technical Design Authority (TDA) for SAP solutions across projects, providing architectural guidance to delivery teams.

• Develop future-state models and roadmaps for Convatec’s SAP ecosystem, fostering continuous improvement and innovation

Note: Position will be based in Hyderabad.

Skills & Experience

• Strong background in solution architecture across Supply Chain, Finance, and Procurement technologies

• Deep expertise as SAP Solution Architect with hands-on experience in ECC/S/4HANA and related modules ( TM, FI/CO, MM, SD), as well as SAP IBP, Datasphere, SAC, MDG, SAP CALM, Signavio, and BTP

• Strong understanding of integration patterns and proficiency in SAP integration technologies (SAP Integration Suite, Cloud Integration, API Management, Open Connectors, Integration Advisor, and Advanced Event Mesh)

• Proven ability to create High-Level Architecture (HLA) and High-Level Design (HLD) documentation to an exceptional standard, operating independently and proactively

• Experience with enterprise cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure (preferred) and AWS

Technical competencies

• Architecture modeling using frameworks such as C4, ArchiMate, or equivalent

• Solid understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, cloud hosting models, and containerization technologies

• Familiarity with enterprise data governance, privacy, security controls, and compliance frameworks
