SAP S/4HANA ABAP Developer Position Title - SAP S/4HANA ABAP Developer - Supply Chain, Manufacturing for Life Sciences Location - Flexible / Hybrid / Remote – Chennai/Bangalore/Hyderabad Experience - 8+ Years of SAP ABAP development experience with at least 3+ years in SAP S/4HANA environments supporting Supply Chain and Manufacturing processes. Industry Domain - Life Sciences (Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnology and Biosimilars) Role Overview We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA ABAP Developer Specialist with strong expertise in Supply Chain and Manufacturing processes within the Life Sciences industry . The ideal candidate will possess deep technical skills in SAP S/4HANA development and proven experience supporting highly regulated business environments involving pharmaceutical manufacturing, quality management, batch traceability, regulatory compliance, and end-to-end supply chain planning. The candidate must have hands-on implementation and enhancement experience across SAP PP, QM, PPDS, IBP, and EWM , along with working knowledge of SAP Build and Joule Studio within SAP Business AI and SAP BTP to develop intelligent applications, AI-powered business assistants, and process automation solutions. Key Responsibilities SAP S/4HANA Development Design, develop, test, and support SAP S/4HANA custom solutions using ABAP on HANA. Develop and enhance: CDS Views RAP Applications AMDP OData Services APIs BAPIs, BADIs, Enhancement Framework Reports, Interfaces, Forms, Workflows, and Conversions Build scalable and high-performing extensions leveraging HANA optimization techniques. Develop Fiori-enabled applications and backend services. Supply Chain & Manufacturing Solutions Design and deliver solutions across: SAP PP (Production Planning) SAP QM (Quality Management) SAP PPDS (Production Planning & Detailed Scheduling) SAP IBP (Integrated Business Planning) SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) Support discrete and process manufacturing scenarios within Life Sciences environments. Develop enhancements for: Production Orders Process Orders Recipe and Master Data Management Shop Floor Integration Quality Inspection Processes Batch Management Serial Number Management Warehouse Operations Inventory Management Demand and Supply Planning Life Sciences Industry Focus Support GMP-compliant business processes. Develop solutions aligned with: GxP regulations FDA 21 CFR Part 11 Compliance Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Batch Genealogy and Traceability Electronic Records and Signatures Controlled Manufacturing and Quality Processes Product Recall and Compliance Reporting Enable end-to-end product traceability from raw materials through finished goods distribution. Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory Affairs, and Supply Chain teams to deliver compliant solutions. SAP IBP, PPDS & Supply Planning Build custom enhancements supporting: Demand Planning Supply Planning Response and Supply Optimization Inventory Optimization Production Scheduling Implement integration between S/4HANA, IBP, EWM, and manufacturing execution systems. SAP BTP, Build & Business AI Develop extensions and side-by-side applications on SAP BTP. Leverage: SAP Build Apps SAP Build Process Automation SAP Build Work Zone SAP Integration Suite Develop business process automations for manufacturing, quality, and supply chain operations. Create AI-enabled business solutions using: Joule Studio SAP Business AI Services Generative AI capabilities on SAP BTP Build intelligent assistants for: Shop Floor Operations Quality Investigations Supply Chain Exception Management Inventory Insights Production Scheduling Recommendations Integration & Data Management Develop interfaces with: SAP IBP SAP EWM SAP Digital Manufacturing (DM) Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) Third-party Quality Systems Develop REST APIs, SOAP Services, and Event-Driven Integrations. Leadership & Governance Participate in solution architecture and technical design reviews. Establish ABAP development standards and best practices. Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers. Support Agile delivery and DevOps practices within SAP landscapes.
