About the Role

Accenture is seeking an experienced Record to Report (R2R) Consultant with strong SAP implementation expertise to support finance transformation initiatives and ERP-driven business process improvements. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing SAP Finance solutions while ensuring efficient Record to Report operations, high-quality financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and strong internal controls.

The ideal candidate will combine deep accounting knowledge with hands-on SAP project experience and the ability to collaborate effectively with business and technology stakeholders across large-scale transformation programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support end-to-end Record to Report processes, including general ledger accounting, journal entries, accruals, fixed assets, intercompany accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Participate in SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA implementation, rollout, migration, upgrade, and finance transformation projects.
  • Facilitate business process workshops, requirements gathering sessions, process mapping, and fit-gap analysis activities.
  • Design and optimize R2R processes to improve financial close efficiency, reporting accuracy, standardization, and compliance.
  • Support system configuration validation, testing activities (SIT/UAT), defect resolution, cutover planning, and post-go-live stabilization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, functional consultants, technical teams, and business users to deliver scalable finance solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, financial controls, audit requirements, and corporate governance policies.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, automation opportunities, and best practices across finance operations and reporting processes.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5 to 15 years of experience in Record to Report (R2R), General Ledger, Financial Close, Financial Reporting, or Finance Transformation functions.
  • Proven hands-on experience in SAP implementation, rollout, migration, or transformation projects with significant involvement in R2R workstreams.
  • Strong expertise in SAP Finance solutions, including SAP FI and SAP S/4HANA Finance.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, month-end and year-end close processes, reconciliations, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Experience in requirements gathering, business process design, fit-gap analysis, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
  • Knowledge of IFRS and financial compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional accounting certification such as CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent.
  • Experience within shared services, global business services, or finance consulting environments.
  • Exposure to SAP Central Finance, SAP Group Reporting, SAP BPC, or related SAP Finance solutions.
  • Experience with automation, intelligent finance solutions, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Lean Six Sigma, PMP, Agile, or related project delivery certifications.
  • Experience working in regional or global delivery environments.
