ECC Production Planning Consultant

Digitalization is a strategic priority for ROCKWOOL. The Production Planning Consultant ensures stability, performance, and alignment of SAP PP processes with Group standards during both support and project activities. To ensure uninterrupted business operations during the transition, ROCKWOOL is establishing a dedicated support sub-team focused on maintaining the stability and performance of the legacy ERP platform.

  • The Production Planning Consultant has the responsibility to ensure that changes to former implementations are carried out in such a way that maximum synergy, savings, and benefits for the Group and, if possible, for OPCOs are obtained in the implementation projects and in the subsequent use of the installed systems.
  • The Production Planning Consultant ensures, through cooperation with other consultants, that all support of RockBis Group is done in only one way with a common data structure and common data definitions.
  • The Production Planning Consultant has the responsibility to become/stay the SAP PP-expert in the Production Planning area, by following developments in the system and the market.
  • The Production Planning Consultant keeps their line manager informed about status, plans, possible problems, and proposals for improvements in connection with all planned and started support cases and projects.
  • The Production Planning Consultant is responsible for the quality and efficiency of the consulting work being performed and that it is performed in accordance with project assistance agreements. The Production Planning Consultant has the authority required to complete agreed support tasks, projects, and responsibilities.
  • The Production Planning Consultant works in accordance with the general procedures, policies, and guidelines for the Rockwool Group, with special attention to the RockBis Policies, Informatics Guideline, Data Security Guideline, Principles of Leadership, and the Project Management Guideline.

Reporting Structure

Team Members

  • The Production Planning Consultant reports functionally to one Functional Manager (Product Managers or Functional Team Lead) who oversees domain-specific development, skill growth, and cooperates in relation to the performance evaluation.
  • The Production Planning Consultant reports operationally to the SAP Support sub team – Team Lead, who coordinates day-to-day activities, ensures alignment with SAP teams goals, and facilitates team cohesion.

Key responsibilities and activities include, but is not limited to:

  • Work on translated business requirements (technical specification) by the Functional Lead or autonomously build technical specifications to be approved by Functional Lead and transfer into SAP PP solutions.
  • Prioritize all assigned tasks and complete accordingly.
  • Ensure that all support tasks assigned will be delivered under agreed SLA and in high-level quality.
  • Assist Digital and OPCOs in configuration of the system according to Group goals.
  • Ensure that modifications to Production Planning configuration will not be made without Management/Solution Architect approval.
  • Ensure that possible required add-on solutions will be useful for other OPCOs having similar needs.
  • Secure communication between themselves and the Rockwool Functional Lead.
  • Secure communication between themselves and the line manager.
  • Ensure that all configuration is documented according to the guidelines.
  • Ensure that all new processes/functions are coordinated within the OPCOs already running in the system.
  • Must have strong technical documentation skills.
  • Collaborate with representatives from other IT areas, customers/suppliers.
  • Must be able to interact well with multiple priorities in an extremely dynamic environment, initiating necessary tasks and ensuring complete follow-up.
  • Proactively clarify work instructions or analyze issues.
  • Support the ROCKWOOL DIGITAL Strategy of delivering Value-Added IT solutions to the Business.
  • Work with other Functional Leads, Solution Architects, and other Consultants to deliver new functionality that improves business efficiencies and productivity while being aligned with the group’s architecture.
  • Provide functional guidance to ensure IT solution integrity and maintain updated documentation (technical specifications).
  • Promote and maintain a flexible, cooperative, team-oriented, customer-focused attitude within and between departments.
  • Be open to extend the knowledge on additional related applications (IBP)

Required Skills & Experience

Skills & Experience – Essential

  • Technical bachelor’s degree
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP Production Planning (PP)
  • Minimum 4-6 years of full-time working and proven hands-on experience in SAP PP
  • Production planning

  • MRP (Material Requirements Planning)
  • Production orders and execution
  • Capacity planning
  • Shop floor integration
  • Master data (BOM, routing, work centers)
  • Fluently communicating in English (verbally and writing) is a must as well as good presentation and documentation skills

Skills & Experience - Desirable

  • Excellent in interacting with business and IT teams in Europe, Asia, and North America
  • Global implementation and shared services experience
  • Experience with JIRA, Xurrent, or some comparable tool
  • Experience with integration to other SAP modules (MM, FI, CO, EWM)
