Job Description

For our client, an established manufacturer in the regulated pharmaceutical industry, we are looking for a hands-on SAP PP-PI / MES Integration Expert (freelance) to keep a complex, custom SAP–MES integration landscape stable and continuously improve it.

The project

This is a support-and-optimization mandate in a live GMP production environment — no greenfield stress, but a technically rare landscape: SAP PP-PI tightly integrated with a leading pharma MES, in a custom interface setup without PI-Sheets or XSteps

Your mission

• Expert support for SAP PP-PI: master data, process orders, production campaign management

• Analyze, maintain and optimize SAP-to-MES interfaces

• Ensure stable, efficient integration across the production landscape

• Collaborate with module owners across MM-IM, QM/LIMS, CO-PC and EWM plus external system teams

• Drive ongoing improvements within the PP environment

Your profile

• Deep hands-on SAP PP-PI expertise (MD, POR, PCM)

• Proven MES integration experience, ideally with market-leading pharma MES platforms

• Track record with custom SAP-to-MES interfaces outside the standard PI-Sheet/XSteps toolset

• Broad SAP PP foundation (PP-BD, PP-MP, PP-CRP, PP-MRP, PP-MES)

• Fluent English; comfortable in a GMP-regulated, remote-first setup
