Are you excited by the challenge of modernizing enterprise integration landscapes and shaping how systems talk to each other across a global organization?

As an SAP PO / CI Consultant, you will join Enterprise Application Integration team and become a core part of our growing Data & Integration hub. You will work hands-on with SAP Process Orchestration (PO) and SAP Cloud Integration (CI), supporting the strategic migration from SAP PO to SAP Cloud Integration / Integration Suite ahead of SAP PO's end of support in 2027, while also keeping day-to-day interface operations running smoothly.

In this role, you will

1. Integration delivery & technical implementation

• Design, develop, test, and deploy integration flows (iFlows) using SAP Process Orchestration (PO) and SAP Cloud Integration (CI).

• Build and maintain adapters, message mappings, routing, and transformation logic across SAP and non-SAP systems, both on-premise and in the cloud.

• Support real-time and asynchronous integration scenarios that connect business processes end-to-end.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents in productive integration environments, ensuring reliable and secure message flows.

2. SAP PO → CI migration

• Analyze existing SAP PO interfaces and translate them into SAP Cloud Integration / Integration Suite equivalents.

• Contribute hands-on to the PO to CI migration backlog, working closely with the current EAI specialists.

• Support API management and hybrid integration setups as part of the migration roadmap.

• Document interfaces and build reusable integration components and standards for the future run team.

3. Collaboration & knowledge sharing

• Act as a technical point of contact between business stakeholders, IT operations, and the Integration team based in Nürnberg and Cluj-Napoca.

• Provide 2nd/3rd level support for integration-related incidents.

• Coach and share knowledge with colleagues who are building integration/CI skills.

4. Governance & continuous improvement

• Apply integration governance standards, naming conventions, and best practices.

• Identify opportunities to simplify and modernize existing interfaces.

• Help grow LEONI’s Data & Integration capabilities.

Qualifications

Must-have

• Hands-on experience with SAP PO / Process Orchestration and/or SAP Cloud Integration (SAP CI / SAP Integration Suite).

• Practical knowledge of iFlow design, message mapping, adapters, and monitoring.

• Understanding of API management concepts and hybrid (on-premise + cloud) integration scenarios.

• Fluent German (spoken and written, business level) and good working English – you will collaborate daily with German-speaking stakeholders and the Nürnberg-based EAI team.

• Strong analytical mindset, structured problem-solving, and ability to translate business requirements into technical integration solutions.

Nice-to-have

• Exposure to SAP BTP Integration Suite and cloud-native integration patterns.

• Basic ABAP / interface development knowledge, or experience with SAP Data Services / ETL.

• Experience in an automotive, manufacturing, or other complex multi-system enterprise landscape.

• SAP Integration Suite or related SAP certification.
