We are seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join our Platform Security Engineering team. This role focuses on the engineering, automation, and operational excellence of the security tooling stack that protects our infrastructure. The right candidate is a builder; someone who has come up through DevOps, infrastructure, or platform engineering and brings that operational discipline to the security domain.
This is not a policy or governance role, and it is not a traditional ISSE position. You will spend your days writing code, building pipelines, automating deployments, remediating vulnerabilities on infrastructure we own, and tuning the platforms that keep our environment secure. You will partner closely with platform, DevOps, and host-owning teams, but the engineering work is yours to lead.
Clear scope is part of how this team operates at scale. The role is engineering-focused, and the boundaries below are deliberate.
You are a security engineer with a builder’s mindset. You came up through DevOps or infrastructure and you bring that operational DNA to security work. You write code, you ship automation, and you partner with engineering rather than gatekeep. You understand that security tooling is only as good as the discipline behind its operation, such as the patching cadence, the coverage validation, the integration plumbing, the runbook automation. You are pragmatic about scope: you do the work that lives within your team’s control, you build capabilities that other teams can self-serve, and you do not take on accountability for systems you cannot operate.
You are equally comfortable in a Terraform module, a CI/CD pipeline, a Bash script, and a Tenable scan policy. When you find a manual process, you replace it with code. When you find drift between what a compliance framework requires and what the platform is actually doing, you close the gap in configuration rather than in a spreadsheet.
