The Role
1) Incident and Request Management (AMS)
Analyze and resolve functional incidents in SAP MM, including purchasing, procurement, material master data, inventory management, goods receipts, valuation, and logistics movements.
Analyze and resolve incidents in SAP SD, including customer and master data management, sales orders, deliveries, transportation, billing, pricing/conditions, tax and account determination, and output management ( NAST/BRF+).
Monitor and validate data flows between SAP and external systems via IDocs/EDI, RFC, OData/APIs (SAP PO/CPI middleware desirable), ensuring data consistency and accuracy.
Manage tickets according to service priorities, impact, and SLAs, maintaining effective communication with business and technical teams.
2) Functional Analysis and Process Validation
Review and validate functional configurations in MM (calculation schemas, account determination, movement types, account assignment categories, purchasing document types) and SD (pricing schemas, conditions, tax/account determination, output profiles, availability/ATP).
Verify data flow integrity and proper execution of functional logic across P2P and O2C processes, including MM–SD–FI/CO integration.
Document findings, deviations, root causes, and applied solutions, ensuring traceability and operational consistency.
3) Technical Coordination within the SAP Ecosystem
Collaborate with ABAP development teams to adjust objects such as user-exits, BADIs, reports, interfaces, and forms derived from incidents or enhancements.
Coordinate with integration teams (PO/CPI), Basis/infrastructure, and owners of other SAP modules ( FI/CO, LE, WM/EWM, PP) when cross-module dependencies with MM and SD exist.
Provide end-to-end follow-up until technical-functional activities are fully resolved and closed.
4) Documentation and Operational Compliance
Maintain up-to-date functional documentation, including configurations, solutions, operating procedures, KEDs/KBAs, and support evidence.
Prepare required information and supporting materials for audits, change controls, and IT reviews, ensuring compliance with internal standards.
5) Support for Testing, Changes, and Releases
Participate in SIT/UAT for corrective and evolutionary changes in MM and SD; design and execute test cases and validate acceptance criteria.
Validate functional deliverables and coordinate activities related to production deployments, cutover, and post-release stabilization (hypercare)
Contribute to regression testing to minimize collateral impacts across the SAP landscape.
6) Continuous Improvement within AMS
Identify optimization opportunities in MM/SD configurations, processes, and controls, reducing incident recurrence.
Propose improvements to enhance stability, efficiency, traceability, and SLA compliance (e.g., monitoring automation, template standardization, service catalog adjustments).
