We are looking for a motivated SAP MDG Operations Consultant (m/f/d) to support the ongoing operations and continuous improvement of our Master Data Governance (MDG) solutions within our Global IT Shared Service Center in Madrid.

In this role, you will work closely with the business Master Data Management (MDM) operations team to ensure the efficient, high-quality, and compliant execution of master data processes across key domains such as Business Partners and Materials.

You will act as the interface between business users and IT, supporting day-to-day MDG operations, resolving issues, and ensuring that data governance processes are consistently applied and optimized.

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a large-scale S/4HANA transformation environment and play a key role in maintaining high data quality standards across Liebherr’s global operations.

Creating passion: your responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day operations of SAP MDG, ensuring smooth execution of master data processes and workflows.
• Act as the interface between business MDM teams and IT, supporting users and resolving operational issues.
• Monitor and manage MDG workflows and change requests, ensuring timely processing and high data quality.
• Analyze and resolve data and system issues, coordinating with technical teams when needed.
• Support business users in data creation, maintenance, and governance processes, ensuring compliance with standards.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of MDG processes, enhancing efficiency and usability.
• Support testing activities and minor enhancements, ensuring stability of MDG solutions.
• Maintain proper documentation of processes and issues, using tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Solution Architects, and functional teams to ensure alignment between operations and design.

Contributing your strengths: your qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in SAP consulting or support roles, with exposure to Master Data Management and/or SAP MDG.
• Basic to solid understanding of SAP MDG processes, particularly Business Partner and/or Material master data.
• Experience supporting business users in operational environments, including issue resolution and process support.
• Understanding of data governance principles and data quality management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a practical and solution-oriented mindset.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both business and technical teams.
• Structured, reliable, and service-oriented working style.
• Experience working in international and cross-functional environments is a plus.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages (e.g., Spanish or German) are an advantage.
