Primary Function

Responsible for recommending and advising direction on supply chain technology solutions, leading project implementations and technical design solutions for specific SAP modules, functional and/or business areas. Understands the business strategy of functions/areas, including Materials Management, Production Planning, as well as Demand and Supply Planning. Works with the business to define business requirements, create functional specifications, and deliver system configuration to enhance system performance. Communicates and coordinates with other team leads, business leadership, and Project Owners to ensure appropriate integration of processes and modules across the enterprise. Participates in critical path activities and resolves issues or escalates issues to the Project Owner as needed. Advises on the design and implementation of new business processes with organizational structure and required SAP configuration. Supports the business by assigning Service Now support tasks, completing support tasks, and monitoring performance of task completion across all supply chain and operations areas. Supports the business by leading project implementations and completing system enhancements to optimize business performance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide the highest levels of production support to materials management, production planning, production execution, as well as demand and supply planning. This includes collaborating with internal and external resources to provide the highest level of support to the business.
  • Lead solution designs, enhancements, and sustainability in the areas of materials management, production planning, and production execution.
  • Provide technical and functional expertise to develop functional designs and solutions to support Technical Developers in design and development of ECC solutions based on business needs – RICEFW objects and customizations. Participate in functional and technical reviews to validate designs involved in SAP and non-SAP solutions – Materials Management, Production Planning, and production execution.
  • Provide recommendations and execution strategies to solve complex business issues.
  • Contribute to an environment where people and technology thrive together to accomplish more than they could apart.
  • Anticipate and manage stakeholder needs. Discuss and develop potential solutions to support Supply Chain Integrated Business Planning Areas.
  • Support the execution of MM, PP, and production execution in test scripts and provide support in defect resolution.
  • Understand end user’s business needs, define requirements using existing SAP templates for SAP technologies/system enhancements, and communicate these to SAP functional teams.
  • Deal effectively with ambiguous and unstructured problems and situations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Logistics, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years related work experience

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 5 life cycle implementations of SAP ECC
  • IBP suite – Demand Forecasting, Supply and Response, preferred
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain business processes, inventory control, material movements, and warehouse operations.
  • Experience with SAP interfaces, APIs, IDocs, BAPIs, and integration frameworks.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing execution systems and shop floor automation.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing plant personnel with day-to-day ERP system processes
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and process improvement approach
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • MBA preferred -Related Field
