SAP Integration Analyst with 4 to 8 years of experience is responsible for designing, building, and operating enterprise-grade integrations across SAP and non-SAP systems. This role ensures seamless data movement, real-time and batch processing, and scalable integration architecture across platforms including SAP BTP Integration Suite (IS), SAP Process Orchestration (PO), SAP SLT, and SAP Data Intelligence (DI). The role focuses on delivering resilient, high-performance integrations while supporting transformation initiatives such as migration from SAP PO to BTP IS. It ensures integration solutions are aligned with enterprise architecture, data strategy, and business continuity requirements. Working closely with Product Owners, functional teams, data engineers, and external system owners, this role drives integration excellence, proactive monitoring, and continuous optimization of the integration landscape.

SAP Integration Design & Ownership

  • Own end-to-end design and implementation of integrations across SAP and non-SAP systems using:
  • SAP BTP Integration Suite (CPI, API Management)
  • SAP Process Orchestration (PO/PI)
  • SAP SLT (real-time replication)
  • SAP Data Intelligence (data pipelines and orchestration)
  • Design and maintain interfaces involving IDocs, Apis, BAPIs SFTP/FTP, Kafka/MSK, and HTTP-based integrations
  • Ensure integration solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise integration patterns
  • Support hybrid integration scenarios across on-prem (ECC/S4) and cloud platforms Integration Architecture, Standards & Compliance
  • Ensure adherence to enterprise integration architecture principles and SAP best practices
  • Drive standardization of integration patterns across PO and BTP IS
  • Govern usage of custom mappings, scripts, and adapters to minimize complexity
  • Ensure compliance with: Security standards (authentication, encryption, certificates)
  • Data governance and audit requirements
  • Align integration roadmap with SAP BTP strategy and PO decommissioning goals

Data Replication & Pipeline Management (SLT & DI)

  • Design and manage real-time data replication using SAP SLT for key business objects
  • Build and optimize data pipelines using SAP Data Intelligence: o Data ingestion from SAP and external sources o Transformation and orchestration workflows
  • Ensure data consistency, latency optimization, and high availability of pipelines
  • Troubleshoot replication issues, performance bottlenecks, and data mismatches.

Optimization & Technical Debt Management

  • Drive migration from SAP PO to BTP Integration Suite with optimized design patterns
  • Promote reuse of standard iFlows, APIs, and integration components
  • Reduce reliance on custom developments and legacy patterns
  • Identify technical debt in existing integrations and lead remediation efforts.
  • Improve performance through:
  • Parallelization strategies
  • Payload optimization (compression, chunking)
  • Efficient error handling mechanisms Operational Support & Incident Management
  • work on critical integration failures in production
  • support root cause analysis for: o Failed messages (IDoc, CPI, PO)
  • SLT replication issues
  • DI pipeline failures
  • Ensure quick recovery and minimal business disruption
  • Implement proactive monitoring and alerting mechanisms Documentation & Governance
  • Maintain comprehensive integration documentation: o Interface design documents o Mapping specifications o Data flow diagrams
  • Ensure adherence to: Transport management processes
  • Change control and release governance
  • Validate testing coverage including SIT, regression, and performance testing Collaboration & Ways of Working
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (SAP functional, data, middleware, external vendors)
  • Enable agile delivery model across integration design, build, and run phases
  • Support DevOps practices: o CI/CD for integration artifacts o Automated deployments and monitoring
  • Provide technical mentoring and guidance to junior integration team members Role Context
  • Focused on enterprise integration landscape covering SAP ECC/S4, BTP, and external ecosystems
  • Key contributor in PO to BTP IS migration program and data platform evolution
  • Works across real-time, batch, and event-driven integration patterns
  • Critical role in ensuring business continuity, scalability, and future-ready integration architecture
