About the Role

The SCM Excellence SAP IBP Center of Competence Manager enables Supply and Demand Planning teams to fully leverage the capabilities of SAP IBP across end‑to‑end planning processes.

The role acts as the central interface between business and digital teams, ensuring that SAP IBP configurations, data models, and reporting effectively support integrated demand and supply planning.

Key responsibilities designing and continuously improving planning processes with strong focus on technical solutions (IBP), coordinating the further development of SAP IBP functionalities with a cross‑functional team, and testing and validating solutions to ensure business relevance and robustness. In times of supply chain disruptions efficient cross-functional problem solving will and quick solutioning will become a temporary key responsibility.

In addition, the role drives cross‑functional problem solving and leads the build‑up of an SAP IBP community, connecting plants and global functions. This includes enabling knowledge sharing, supporting training activities, strengthening overall IBP capabilities and enabling automation of manual processes.

What You Will Do

SAP IBP Process Development & Solutioning

  • Design, develop, and continuously improve Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes across demand -, supply- and material planning to support stable and efficient supply chain operations
  • Identify SAP IBP use cases to unlock additional functionalities and business value
  • Drive optimization of SAP IBP‑based supply chain solutions, including data structures, configurations, and end‑to‑end process alignment
  • Test technical solutions provided by digital teams (or externals) and validate business value
  • Drive the automation and optimization of manual planning, reporting, and analysis activities, improving data quality, efficiency, and decision speed

Stakeholder Engagement & Subject Matter Expert

  • Build and foster cross-organizational SAP IBP community to drive confidence and adoption (functionalities, hands-on practice, follow-up training)
  • Roll out new processes, solutions and enhancements across Harman in regards of IBP
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert and spread your knowledge about (SAP) Integrated Business Planning and the correlated processes across the organization (global and plants)

Crisis Management & Task Force Activities

  • Act as a hands‑on problem solver, implementing short‑term fixes while designing sustainable process improvements
  • Rapidly stabilize IBP and supply chain processes during disruptions (e.g. S/4HANA transition, planning instability, data issues)
  • Analyze SAP and IBP data, processes, and configurations to identify root causes and define corrective actions
  • Drive replacement of manual workarounds with automation and optimized processes to restore reliability and efficiency
  • Ensure transparency, decision discipline, and process ownership until the organization returns to business‑as‑usual operations
  • Develop and deliver clear, fact‑based reporting to support fast and informed management decisions

What You Need to Be Successful

  • A degree in Business Informatics/Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain Operations
  • Proven experience in Supply Chain Management, preferably in an automotive or electronics manufacturing environment
  • Strong background in problem solving and continuous improvement within supply chain and planning processes
  • Hands-on SAP user experience in MM, PP, and DP modules; experience in automotive or electronics industries is a strong advantage
  • SAP customizing experience, particularly in MM, PP, and DP; experience with Warehouse Management (WM) and SAP S/4HANA is an advantage
  • Demonstrated experience in SAP IBP time-series implementations; OBP exposure is considered an advantage
  • Expert user experience in SAP IBP time-series planning, including SIOE and SIOP, using Excel and WebUI; constraint-based planning experience is an advantage
  • Practical experience with SAP IBP time-series master data management
  • IBP time-series customizing experience, especially key figure creation and development, is an advantage
  • Advanced Excel skills, including lookups and statistical formulas; macro programming experience is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable insights paired with fast decision making ability
  • Excellent communication skills with fluent English required as well as robustness
  • Strong collaboration skills, with proven experience working across multiple functions, including IT, Production Planning, Procurement, Demand Planning, and Finance
  • High motivation to identify and implement automation opportunities to improve efficiency and data quality
