Job Description


We seeking a highly skilled SAP S/4HANA Lead HCM Consultant to lead the implementation of SAP’s Human
Capital Management (HCM) modules for a major public sector project in Botswana. This role involves a 12-month on-site
engagement, where you will work closely with the client’s HR teams to modernize and optimize human resources
processes, alongside managing a team of remote consultants.


Requirements


Key Responsibilities
• Implementation and Configuration:
o Oversee the end-to-end implementation and configuration of SAP S/4HANA HCM modules, including
Personnel Administration, Organizational Management, Payroll, and Time Management.
o Ensure alignment with public sector standards and client-specific needs to maximize operational
efficiency and HR capabilities.
• HR Process Analysis and Redesign:
o Work with client HR teams to assess current HR processes, identifying areas for improvement and
designing solutions that leverage SAP’s HCM functionalities.
o Drive business process re-engineering to enhance HR practices and create value-added transformations
for the client.
• User Training and Support:
o Develop and deliver user training sessions to ensure successful system adoption.
o Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for end-users post-implementation, helping to secure long-
term benefits from the new system.
• Stakeholder Engagement:
o Engage HR stakeholders to gather requirements, present solutions, and obtain buy-in on proposed
changes.
o Act as a key advisor to the client’s HR leaders on best practices and the future state of HR operations
enabled by SAP HCM.
• Documentation and Compliance:
o Ensure complete and accurate system documentation, meeting regulatory requirements for HR data,
including data privacy and confidentiality standards.
Requirements
• Experience: Significant experience implementing SAP S/4HANA HCM solutions, should have at least 2 projects
as a Lead HCM consultant for SAP S/4HANA implementations.
• SAP Certification: Certification in SAP S/4HANA HCM is preferred.
• HR Process Expertise: Deep understanding of human resources processes and challenges, ideally with an HR
background.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of addressing complex HR issues.
• Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to manage stakeholder
relationships and convey technical solutions to a non-technical audience.
Pre-Qualifications
• Location Commitment: Willingness to relocate to Gaborone, Botswana, for the project duration.
• Availability: Immediately.
• Experience: At least 2 major end to end S/4 HANA implementation as Lead HCM Consultant.
