  • 10% company contribution pension
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Free onsite parking
  • Subsidised public transport
  • Huge range of company discounts

The Role

As a SAP Group Reporting Analyst, you'll play a critical role in MAG's Finance Transformation Programme as we migrate from SAP ECC to S/4HANA Private Cloud.

Working within our Technology team, you'll act as the internal subject matter expert for SAP Group Reporting, partnering with Finance, Technology, Solution Architects and implementation partners to help shape and deliver a modern, scalable finance technology landscape.

You'll be embedded within the transformation programme from the earliest design stages through to go-live and post-implementation stabilisation, ensuring solutions are aligned to business requirements, SAP best practice and Clean Core principles. This is not a role where you'll simply review the work of others. You'll be the organisation's go-to expert for Group Reporting, providing challenge, insight and direction throughout the programme lifecycle.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys combining deep SAP expertise with business analysis, stakeholder engagement and problem solving within a large-scale transformation environment.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Acting as the business-owned lead for the SAP Group Reporting workstream throughout the Finance Transformation Programme.
  • Participating in fit-to-standard workshops and ensuring solutions reflect MAG's business and reporting requirements.
  • Reviewing and constructively challenging system integrator designs, configurations and functional specifications.
  • Defining functional and technical requirements in collaboration with architects and implementation partners.
  • Supporting the design and optimisation of consolidation processes, reporting structures and financial controls.
  • Leading User Acceptance Testing activities and developing test scenarios based on real-world consolidation cycles.
  • Supporting data readiness activities, including opening balances, entity structures and intercompany validation.
  • Developing and delivering end-user training and supporting business adoption of new solutions.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes, reporting and operational efficiency through SAP technology.
  • Supporting go-live, hypercare and post-implementation stabilisation activities.

What Will Make You Successful in the Role?

You'll bring strong SAP Finance expertise alongside a passion for solving business challenges through technology. You'll be comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and have the confidence to challenge, influence and drive better outcomes.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Hands-on experience configuring SAP S/4HANA Group Reporting.
  • Strong understanding of consolidation processes, including eliminations, currency translation, minority interests and group reporting structures.
  • Experience of at least two full SAP implementation lifecycles from discovery through to go-live.
  • Strong knowledge of the Universal Journal and consolidation data flows within S/4HANA.
  • Experience supporting period-end and year-end close processes within an SAP environment.
  • Strong business and systems analysis skills, with the ability to gather requirements and translate them into effective solutions.
  • Experience reviewing and challenging functional designs and technical specifications provided by implementation partners.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both Finance and Technology audiences.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Experience documenting business processes, requirements and solution designs.

It Would Be Great (But Not Essential) If You Also Have

  • Experience with BlackLine and its integration into financial close processes.
  • Familiarity with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
  • Exposure to SAP Datasphere or Business Data Cloud.
  • Experience working within a RISE with SAP or Clean Core environment.
  • SAP S/4HANA certification in Group Reporting or related finance modules.
  • Experience within large, complex organisations undergoing significant transformation.
  • Knowledge of multi-GAAP environments or high-volume intercompany structures.
