ECC Senior SAP FIORI developer

DIGITAL is seeking an experimented SAP Consultant covering FIORI/ SAPUI5 developer for Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) to all ROCKWOOL operating companies (OPCOs).

  • Proven experience as an SAP FIORI / SAP UI5 Developer for EWM solution.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP FIORI / SAPUI5 architecture and configuration.
  • Hands-on experience in the development and configuration of SAP FIORI / SAPUI5 apps.
  • Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA and integration with FIORI / SAPUI5 applications.
  • Knowledge of SAP Fiori Launchpad and tile configuration.
  • Familiarity with SAP Gateway, OData services, and FIORI / SAPUI5 technologies.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with FIORI / SAPUI5 apps.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Good communication and people skills – experience dealing with users from various nationalities
  • Experience working with international and remote team providing operational support and delivering projects

Reporting Structure

Team Members

  • The Fiori Developer reports functionally to a Functional Manager (Product Managers or Functional Team Lead) who oversees domain-specific development, skill growth, and performance evaluation.
  • Reports operationally to the SAP Support sub team – Team Lead, coordinating day-to-day activities, ensuring alignment with SAP teams goals, and facilitating team cohesion.
  • Provides mentorship and guidance to junior consultants and cross-functional teams.cohesion.
  • Due to international organisation, main work is done remotely from Chennai office but travels could happen (travel content around 20% of the time) for EWM projects.

Key responsibilities and activities include, but is not limited to:

  • Design, configure, implement and maintain SAP FIORI / SAPUI5 applications specifically tailored for SAP EWM.
  • Work closely with EWM team to gather requirements for warehouse management processes and develop FIORI / SAPUI5 solutions to streamline operations.
  • Develop and configure FIORI / SAPUI5 applications for EWM such as inventory management, goods receipt from production, order picking, and shipping.
  • Collaborate with ABAP team to ensure seamless integration of SAP FIORI / SAPUI5 applications with SAP EWM, other SAP modules and external systems like WCS (Warehouse Control System) and Automated warehouses.
  • Configure SAP FIORI Launchpad, tiles, and user roles specific to SAP EWM functionalities.
  • Provide FIORI / SAPUI5 support for EWM service (2nd line of Support): Solving incidents / service requests and requests for Change (RFC) across the globe within agreed SLAs (Service Level Agreements)
  • Works on Global RFCs (Estimate the costs / benefits, Support group design of the solution, Optimize group solution based on Business requirements)
  • Participate in the full project lifecycle, from requirements gathering to testing, deployment, and post-deployment support.
  • Conduct training sessions for end-users on how to utilize SAP FIORI / SAPUI5 applications effectively in warehouse operations.
  • Ensure that FIORI / SAPUI5 applications are aligned with SAP standard best practices for SAP EWM processes.
  • Prepare relevant and agreed Template documentation (functional and technical specifications) related to SAP EWM FIORI / SAPUI5 applications.

Required Skills & Experience

Skills & Experience – Essential

  • Technical bachelor’s degree
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP FIORI and UI5 development
  • Minimum 4-6 years of full-time working and proven hands-on experience in SAP FIORI and UI5
  • Fluently communicating in English (verbally and writing) is a must as well as good presentation and documentation skills
  • EWM business processes understanding

Skills & Experience - Desirable

  • Excellent in interacting with business and IT teams in Europe,
  • Global implementation and shared services experience
  • Experience with JIRA, Xurrent, or some comparable tool
