SAP FI Team Lead (S/4HANA & FI/CO Focus)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced SAP FI Team Lead to join our clients IT transformation team. This role will take ownership of the Finance & Controlling (FI/CO) workstream for an S/4HANA project and other SAP ECC initiatives. You will act as the owners representative, providing strategic direction, hands-on leadership, and ensuring successful delivery of finance-related SAP solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the SAP FI/CO team on an S/4HANA implementation project, ensuring alignment with finance and accounting requirements.

• Serve as the Owners Representative in key SAP transformation initiatives.

• Oversee and manage SAP FI/CO modules (including FI, CO, Tax, JVA, TRM, SD), ensuring proper integration and functionality.

• Provide project management oversight for SAP enhancement projects, migrations, or other related initiatives under S/4HANA or SAP ECC.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and refine requirements, ensuring effective change management and user adoption.

• Manage vendor and consultant deliverables, reviewing design, configuration, and testing outcomes for accuracy and quality.

• Identify, analyze, and resolve functional and integration issues within the finance systems landscape.

• Develop and maintain project documentation, including plans, schedules, issue logs, and progress reports.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to internal team members on SAP FI/CO best practices.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of experience in SAP FI/CO, with at least 3-5 years in a Team Lead or Project Manager role.

• Strong background in S/4HANA Finance and/or SAP ECC FI/CO modules.

• Proven experience managing finance & accounting process integration within SAP.

• Solid project management skills (planning, risk management, stakeholder engagement).

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.

• Strong interpersonal & communication skills, including the ability to work with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.

• Experience with change management and driving user adoption.

• Good command of English (spoken and written).

• Thai language skills are a plus but not mandatory.

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA migration or greenfield implementation projects.

• Knowledge of Oil & Gas or large enterprise finance operations.

• Familiarity with tax, JVA, TRM, SD integration to FI/CO.
