About This Role

As an Extended Warehouse Management System Superuser you will be providing front-line issue resolution. The senior systems analyst will be responsible for supporting Carrier’s Indianapolis DC through effective systems management. The Indianapolis DC uses SAP as its ERP system utilizing S/4 Hana for its EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) and TM (Transportation Management) modules. This position is responsible for ensuring EWM is working effectively and troubleshoots problem areas across cross-functional IT support teams to develop solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on experience in implementing, architecting, configuration, deployment, and testing of SAP EWM solutions.
  • An understanding of a wide range of business processes with a focus on Warehouse Management.
  • Confers with department heads to coordinate DC activities, such as production, sales, inventory, records control, and purchasing, to ensure the efficient movement of material from receiving to production.
  • Develops standards and emergency operating procedures for receiving, handling, storing, shipping, or salvaging products or materials to increase efficiency and optimize processes.
  • Troubleshoot problems between Warehouse Management Systems EWM, TMS, YMS, and order mgmt. systems and work across IT experts to develop solutions
  • Understand and solve issues related to inventory and order fulfillment within SAP ECC and SAP EWM.
  • Validate the changes proposed by AMS (application maintenance and support teams) & contractors.
  • Work across Carrier IT teams to ensure all hardware including tablets and RF scanners are functioning as designed
  • Proactively identify problems in EWM and implement swift, effective solutions
  • Lead daily stand-up calls with the AMS support team to prioritize incidents and Changes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Communicate system changes (outages, enhancements, etc.) to core business users
  • Experience with incident resolution / change management a plus, experience with ServiceNow & Jira preferred.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in computer science
  • 3+ years of working experience within EWM
  • 3+ years of working experience with ECC SAP

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in the Logistics and Supply Chain
  • SAP EWM Certification
  • Solid understanding of SAP order management, delivery ticket logic, and application development methodologies
  • Strong ABAP and Microsoft Office application skills
  • Passion and curiosity for technology
  • Proven ability to execute with speed and exhibit a bias for action
  • Innovative thinking
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional fast paced environment
  • Power BI knowledge
