Job Description

Our client, supporting a global healthcare company, seeks a SAP Procurement Digital Transformation Lead, which involves acting as the SAP Techno-Functional Consultant for the Care Delivery (Clinics) sector. The role focuses on optimizing and configuring the Procure to Pay (P2P) process in SAP S/4HANA, ensuring seamless integration with clinical operations. The ideal candidate will bridge business needs with SAP technical expertise, drive system improvements, and support the transition to a standardized, user-friendly ERP environment. They will partner closely with Procurement, Technology, and Operations to identify pain points, design solutions, and support successful implementation of SAP-driven process transformations.
This is a contractual role which will run through 2026, with likelihood of extension well into 2027. The candidate must be flexible to work in the client’s preferred time-zone, which is EST or CEST.

Key Responsibilities

Process
Discovery & "As-Is" Optimization:

  • Lead the documentation of current clinical
procurement processes across different regions using Signavio

  • Assess the current
P2P process landscape, identify inefficiencies, and recommend optimization
opportunities across policy, process, controls and technology

  • Identify inefficiencies, "shadow IT"
(manual Excel tracking), and process deviations in the current legacy
    setup

  • Conduct root-cause
analysis on recurring issues, operational bottlenecks, or experience gaps and
    propose targeted improvements

  • Drive immediate improvements: Propose and
implement procedural "quick wins" (e.g., standardizing stock
levels, implementing manual Kanban, cleaning master data) to improve
    efficiency

    before

    the new system arrives

  • Benchmark
processes against best practices and internal standards to define future state
    designs

Future
State Design (S/4HANA):

  • Translate the lessons learned from current
operations into a robust global template for S/4HANA

  • Enhance standardized process flows (L4/L5) for
Requisitioning and Inventory Management that balance strict compliance
    with clinical usability

  • Ensure the future system design addresses the root
    causes of today's pain points

  • Map current and
future processes and ensure documentation is consistently updated

  • Recommend and
drive optimization initiatives across policy, process, controls and technology

System Implementation Support:

  • Support "Fit-to-Standard" workshops

  • Validate clinical Use Cases during User Acceptance
    Testing (UAT)

  • Support testing activities for process and system
    changes

Stakeholder Engagement & Change:

  • Act as the bridge between Global/Regional
Procurement and decentralized Clinical Operations for Procurement
    Processes

  • Facilitate workshops with Head Nurses and Clinic
    Administrators

  • Champion the standardization mindset: Explain to
    stakeholders why aligning their process

    now

    will make their
transition to the new system easier later.

  • Prepare clear and
concise materials (presentations, process documentation, dashboards) to support
    leadership reviews and decision making

  • Provide guidance
to operational teams on process changes, ensuring successful adoption and
    sustained performance

Controls,
Compliance and Quality Assurance

  • Evaluate existing
process controls and identify opportunities to strengthen compliance and risk
    mitigation

  • Support
standardization and simplification efforts to ensure consistent policy
adherence across regions, categories and user groups

  • Partner with
internal control and audit functions to address findings and embed remediations
    into future state processes

Continuous
Improvement Initiatives and Delivery

  • Independently manage
P2P improvement initiatives from concept to execution, ensuring clear
    objectives, deliverables and timelines

  • Collaborate with
cross-functional stakeholders to validate requirements, secure alignment and
    ensure smooth hand-offs

  • Develop business
cases, value assessments and impact analyses to support decision making

  • Monitor initiative
progress, escalate risks or roadblocks and ensure delivery quality

Requirements

  • 3-5 years in SAP Procurement, Supply Chain, or Process Excellence, specifically within
    Healthcare, Pharma, or Clinics

    .

  • Strong understanding of P2P processes and controls.

  • Expert proficiency in
    Signavio

    for process visualisation and documentation.

  • Ability to uncover how processes
    actually

work, not just how they are documented.

  • Experience with
    Lean Six Sigma

    or
    Kaizen

    methodologies is a strong plus.

  • Understanding of healthcare/clinic environments and ability to design inventory processes that fit that reality.

  • Understanding of
    SAP MM/IM logic

and ability to apply it pragmatically to a non-technical user base.

  • Experience with
    SAP S/4HANA

    and SAP integration tools.

  • Ability to work across functions and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

  • Proven ability to independently drive and deliver process improvement initiatives
