We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP + OData Consultant with strong expertise in SAP development, OData services, and integration technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting SAP applications that align with business requirements and enterprise technology standards.

In this role, you will work closely with functional consultants, business users, and technical teams to deliver scalable and efficient SAP solutions. You will play a key role in developing custom applications, exposing backend services through OData, supporting SAP Fiori initiatives, and ensuring seamless integration across SAP and external systems. The position requires a strong understanding of SAP ABAP development, performance optimization, SAP Gateway technologies, and modern SAP development frameworks.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support SAP ABAP applications and enhancements.
• Develop and maintain OData services using SAP Gateway and SEGW frameworks.
• Build and enhance SAP Fiori-enabled solutions by exposing backend functionality through OData services.
• Develop custom reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflows to meet business requirements.
• Utilize ABAP Objects (OOABAP) principles to develop scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Create and maintain CDS Views, AMDPs, and data models to support reporting and application requirements.
• Design and implement integrations with external systems using APIs, Web Services, RFCs, BAPIs, IDocs, and OData services.
• Perform debugging, root cause analysis, and issue resolution for SAP applications and interfaces.
• Optimize application and database performance through effective ABAP tuning techniques and best practices.
• Participate in technical design discussions and contribute innovative solutions for business challenges.
• Collaborate with functional teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Prepare technical design documents, unit test cases, deployment plans, and support documentation.
• Support production environments by managing incidents, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring system stability.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and SAP modernization efforts.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development and enterprise SAP implementations.
• Strong expertise in SAP ABAP programming, including reports, enhancements, user exits, BAdIs, SmartForms, and Adobe Forms.
• Extensive experience developing and maintaining OData Services using SAP Gateway and SEGW.
• Deep understanding of ABAP Objects (OOABAP) and object-oriented development principles.
• Proven experience with interfaces and integrations involving RFCs, BAPIs, IDocs, Web Services, and APIs.
• Strong knowledge of SAP Data Dictionary concepts, ALV reports, and application architecture.
• Hands-on experience with debugging, troubleshooting, and ABAP performance tuning techniques.
• Experience creating and maintaining CDS Views and AMDPs for advanced data modeling and performance optimization.
• Understanding of SAP Gateway Framework and service-oriented architectures.
• Exposure to SAP Fiori integration and backend service enablement.
• Familiarity with SAP UI5/Fiori development concepts is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model) is beneficial.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex technical challenges.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams in enterprise SAP environments.
