Job Description

. The SAP COE Master Data MDG Techno-Functional Senior Professional is a senior execution specialist responsible for configuring, enhancing, testing, and supporting SAP MDG solutions under the design governance of the MDG Techno-Functional Lead. The role focuses on high-quality delivery, technical execution, system stability, and operational excellence across MDG domains.

Goal of function:

The Master Data MDG Techno‑Functional Senior Professional ensures the stability, quality, and governance of master data across SAP systems by designing, maintaining, and enhancing SAP MDG solutions. The role provides expert-level techno‑functional support, drives continuous improvement, and ensures adherence to global data governance standards.

Tasks*

1) Main tasks:

Provide Application Maintenance (L2/L3) and Development (enhancement) support for SAP MDG activities. Configure and customize MDG data models, workflows, and business rules for master data domains (Material, Vendor, Customer, Finance) per approved design Collaborate with business teams to gather requirements and translate them into MDG solutions. Develop and maintain enhancements, validations, and derivations using BRF+, BADI, and ABAP Perform unit testing, integration testing support, and defect resolution.Support MDG integration across SAP and non‑SAP systems and ensure system alignment. Perform master data quality checks, cleansing, and harmonization tasks. Document MDG configurations, processes, and governance frameworks for compliance and audit needs. Support MDG integration activities across SAP and non-SAP systems. Maintain accurate technical documentation and configuration records. Support transport management and release activities. Provide technical troubleshooting during releases and hypercare periods.

2) Secondary Tasks:

Tasks regularly performed in support of primary responsibilities:

  • Support SAP S/4HANA migration and integration activities.
  • Assist in user support, troubleshooting, and resolution during system releases and updates. (Derived from L2/L3 responsibilities)
  • Provide inputs to ITIL-based processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support audit evidence preparation and validation testing.

3) Miscellaneous tasks:

  • Participate in special projects related to data governance and digital transformation.
  • Support cross-functional data strategy initiatives involving MDG and enterprise data architecture.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
