SAP BW Developer – BW on HANA / BW/4HANA

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands

We are looking for an experienced SAP BW Developer with strong hands-on expertise in SAP BW on HANA / BW/4HANA The consultant will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and monitoring end-to-end BW dataflows and reporting solutions.

Must-Have Skills

• Strong knowledge of SAP BW Workbench and BW fundamentals.
• Solid understanding of LSA architecture and BW data modelling principles.
• Good knowledge of process chains and BW monitoring
• Experience working with multiple SAP module data sources, with SAP Finance experience being mandatory.
• Strong ABAP knowledge, including:
  • Start routines
  • End routines
  • Field routines
  • InfoSources
  • Enhancing SAP data sources
  • Debugging in SAP source systems
• Working knowledge of Analysis Process Designer (APD) in BW.
• Strong SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence (WebI) skills, including creating reports from scratch and using available reporting functions.
• Expert-level knowledge of Analysis for Office (AfO)
• Ability to translate business/customer requirements into appropriate BW/BO dataflows while following established architecture and development standards.
• Proven experience delivering end-to-end BW projects, from development through production deployment and monitoring.
• Ability to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in BW processes

Nice-to-Have Skills

• SAP BW authorisations knowledge.
• Understanding of BusinessObjects CMC and its core building blocks.
• Experience working in Scrum/Agile environments.
• Azure fundamentals, preferably AZ-900 certification.
• Knowledge of Azure Data Factory

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain SAP BW dataflows and reporting solutions.
• Design solutions aligned with BW architecture and established development standards.
• Integrate and enhance SAP data sources, particularly SAP Finance sources.
• Develop ABAP routines and perform debugging where required.
• Create and maintain BusinessObjects WebI reports and Analysis for Office solutions.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical BW/BO solutions.
• Monitor production environments and troubleshoot BW process issues.
• Analyse and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.
