Job Purpose:

The SAP BTP Analyst supports the design, implementation, and optimisation of solutions on the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). This role works closely with business and technical teams to gather requirements, analyse processes, and assist in configuring and integrating SAP BTP services with existing systems. The analyst helps ensure solutions are efficient, secure, and aligned with organisational objectives, contributing to digital transformation and innovation. Additionally, the SAP BTP Analyst is involved in troubleshooting, documentation, and continuous improvement activities to maximise the value of SAP BTP for the business.

Key Responsibilities:

SAP Integration Suite (BTP):

  • Assist in designing, developing, and monitoring integration flows (iFlows) using SAP Cloud Integration (CPI) under supervision.
  • Support deployment and transport activities using SAP CTMS and Cloud ALM.
  • Help implement basic integration patterns such as REST, SOAP, OData, IDoc, and File/SFTP, including both synchronous and asynchronous messaging.
  • Contribute to configuring API Management (e.g., policies, security, lifecycle), Value Mapping, Message Mapping, and Script Collections.
  • Follow guidance to secure integrations using OAuth 2.0, certificates, and SAML.

SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP):

  • Assist in developing and monitoring CAP-based applications on SAP BTP (Cloud Foundry).
  • Help build OData and REST APIs for SAP and non-SAP consumers.
  • Support the implementation of data persistence solutions (e.g., PostgreSQL).
  • Work with senior team members to enable UI consumption via SAPUI5, SAP Build Apps, and ReactJS.

Azure Logic Apps:

  • Support the development of workflow-based and event-driven integrations.
  • Assist in integrating SAP and non-SAP systems using REST APIs, Service Bus, Event Grid/Event Hub, and File/SFTP connectors.
  • Help implement error handling, retry logic, and set up monitoring and alerts using Application Insights.
  • Follow best practices for securing secrets and sensitive data using Azure Key Vault.

Qualifications

Essential Education & Qualifications:

  • Previous SAP BTP experience and Degree (3 years) or National Diploma in IT related course.

Required Experience:

  • 1-3 years hands-on experience in SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) development
  • Expertise in SAP CAP (Cloud Application Programming), UI5/Fiori, and Cloud Foundry, ReactJS
  • Experience in deployment of CAP Applications
  • Experience with SAP Integration Suite, SAP Build.
  • Added advantage if you have worked on multi-cloud environments and DevOps practices
  • Added advantage if you have worked with Azure Logic Apps for Integration.

Desirable Criteria:

  • SAP Certified Associate - Backend Developer - SAP Cloud Application Programming Model
  • Azure Logic Apps Certified.
