Responsibilities
SAP FI-AA
Implementation & Configuration
Lead and support
end-to-end implementation of
SAP Asset Accounting (FI-AA)
for Oil & Gas clients.
Configure
asset classes, depreciation areas,
depreciation keys, asset transactions, and asset lifecycle processes
.
Manage
asset capitalization, depreciation,
impairment, transfers, retirements, and revaluations
.
Ensure proper configuration of
multi-book
accounting and parallel depreciation areas
.
Support
fixed asset reporting and financial
reconciliation with SAP General Ledger (FI-GL)
.
SAP Lease
Accounting (IFRS 16 / ASC 842)
Implement and configure
SAP Lease Accounting
solutions aligned with IFRS 16 and ASC 842 standards
.
Support lease lifecycle processes including:
Lease contract creation
Right-of-use (ROU) asset
calculation
Lease liability recognition
Interest and amortization
schedules
Align lease accounting processes with
Oil &
Gas upstream, midstream, and downstream operations
.
Ensure compliance with
financial reporting and
regulatory accounting requirements
.
Integration
with Other SAP Modules
Configure and manage integration between
SAP
FI-AA and other SAP modules
, including:

SAP FI (Financial Accounting)

SAP PM (Plant Maintenance)

SAP MM (Materials Management)

SAP PS (Project Systems)

Ensure seamless integration for
asset
acquisition, asset settlement, project capitalization, and
maintenance-related asset transactions

Business
Requirement Analysis
Collaborate with business stakeholders to
gather
and analyze requirements related to asset accounting and lease management
processes
.
Conduct
process workshops and solution design
sessions
.
Translate business requirements into
functional
design specifications
.
Testing
& Deployment
Prepare and execute
unit testing, system
integration testing (SIT), and user acceptance testing (UAT)
.
Develop
test scripts, test scenarios, and
validation documentation
.
Support
deployment planning and cutover
activities
.
RICEFW
Development & Data Migration
Work with technical teams to develop
RICEFW
objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows)
.
Support
legacy data migration into SAP Asset
Accounting
.
Validate
data accuracy during migration and
reconciliation processes
.
Asset
Lifecycle & Financial Compliance
Provide expertise in:
Asset acquisition and
capitalization
Asset retirement and disposal
Asset transfers between company
codes or cost centers
Asset revaluation and impairment
Ensure compliance with
industry standards,
accounting regulations, and internal financial controls
.
Post-Go-Live
Support & Optimization
Troubleshoot and resolve
SAP FI-AA and Lease
Accounting issues after system go-live
.
Provide
functional support and system
optimization recommendations
.
Monitor
system performance and asset accounting
processes
to ensure operational efficiency.
Documentation
& Knowledge Transfer
Prepare comprehensive documentation including:
Functional design documents
Process flow diagrams
Configuration documentation
End-user manuals
Conduct
user training sessions and knowledge
transfer workshops
for finance and operations teams.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in
Finance, Accounting,
Information Systems, or related field

5+ years of experience
in SAP FI-AA or SAP
Finance implementations
Experience in
Oil & Gas industry projects
preferred
Strong understanding of
accounting standards
(IFRS / GAAP)
