Job Description

Swinerton is seeking an SAP analyst to support, stabilize, and expand the SAP S/4HANA platform with a strong emphasis on manufacturing and mass timber operations. This role is hands on and will own day to day SAP configuration, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement across core manufacturing and supply chain processes. The ideal candidate brings deep functional SAP experience (S/4HANA preferred), strong manufacturing domain knowledge, and experience supporting integrations with MES and other shop floor systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day to day production support for SAP S/4HANA, including incident triage, root cause analysis, and resolution in partnership with business users and IT teams.
  • Configure and enhance SAP processes and functionality across manufacturing related modules such as PP, MM, and QM (additional modules a plus depending on scope).
  • Own functional requirements translation into SAP solutions in partnership with a business analyst, including fit gap analysis and scalable process design.
  • Support release execution: functional specifications, configuration documentation, test scripts, unit and system testing support, defect management, and go live readiness activities.
  • Partner with integration teams and vendors to support interfaces between SAP and Timberlab manufacturing systems (for example MES, scanners, middleware, and related tooling).
  • Drive data quality and process governance for master data and transactional integrity within SAP.
  • Develop and maintain end user documentation and training materials; support train the trainer and adoption activities.
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, and IT stakeholders to prioritize enhancements and maintain a sustainable backlog and roadmap post go live.
  • Support audit and compliance needs by ensuring appropriate controls, documentation, and change traceability.

Relationship Building and Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong relationships with manufacturing and operations leaders, super users, and process owners across Timberlab.
  • Communicate clearly on impact, options, tradeoffs, and release readiness.
  • Operate with a site first mindset: understand real workflows and constraints and what will drive adoption on the floor.

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, engineering, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Five or more years of hands on SAP functional experience in manufacturing and supply chain environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise in SAP PP, MM, and QM (S/4HANA preferred), including configuration and production support.
  • Experience supporting SAP implementations or major rollouts, including hypercare and transition to steady state operations.
  • Experience supporting integrations between SAP and manufacturing systems (MES, scheduling, quality, inventory tracking); familiarity with integration tools is a plus.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; able to translate between shop floor needs and system design.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA public cloud or private cloud environments.
  • Experience with SAP Fiori and SAP reporting and analytics (for example embedded analytics or Power BI).
  • Understanding of timber and engineered wood manufacturing processes (for example log optimization, kiln drying, grading, CLT and glulam production).
  • Lean or continuous improvement experience (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen).
  • Experience working with external implementation partners and managing functional deliverables.
