We are looking for an experienced SAP Workflow & ABAP Developer to design, develop, enhance, and optimise custom SAP solutions across SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments.

The role combines strong technical expertise in SAP Workflow, ABAP, BRF+, OOP, CDS, OData, and SAP BTP with a solid understanding of business processes across procurement, supply chain, finance, and other SAP modules. The ideal candidate should be capable of delivering end-to-end technical solutions while working closely with business stakeholders and SAP BASIS/security teams.

Requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, configure, and enhance SAP Workflow solutions for business process automation.
• Implement approval workflows, notification processes, escalations, and automated business activities across SAP modules.
• Configure and manage event linkages, BOR objects/classes, task containers, deadlines, substitutions, and escalation mechanisms.
• Develop and enhance workflow user tasks using SAP Fiori/My Inbox, SAP GUI, and Web Dynpro.
• Configure and optimise workflow inboxes and approval processes based on business requirements.
• Develop and maintain workflow templates, rules, and decision logic using BRF+, Function Modules, and organisational objects.
• Monitor and troubleshoot workflow issues using tools such as SWI1 and SWIA.
• Analyse workflow errors, stuck items, failed approvals, and production issues and implement effective resolutions.
• Develop and deliver SAP ABAP solutions across S/4HANA business modules.
• Independently manage end-to-end ABAP development activities, including technical design, coding, testing, debugging, deployment, and support.
• Develop modern ABAP solutions using Object-Oriented ABAP, CDS Views, OData services, and related technologies.
• Review functional requirements and translate them into technical specifications and solution designs.
• Prepare technical design documents, development specifications, and supporting technical documentation.
• Perform ABAP debugging, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement appropriate optimisation strategies.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to SAP development standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with functional consultants, business users, BASIS teams, security teams, and other technical stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance and solution recommendations for SAP business processes across Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, and other modules.
• Support SAP workflow and ABAP solutions through testing, deployment, production support, and continuous improvement.
• Work with SAP BTP services and contribute to cloud-enabled SAP development and integration initiatives.
• Stay current with evolving SAP technologies, workflow capabilities, development frameworks, and best practices.

WHAT MAKES YOU A GREAT FIT

• 7+ years of overall SAP development experience with strong hands-on expertise in SAP Workflow and ABAP.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Workflow design and development.
• Strong expertise in SAP Workflow, Workflow Builder, Business Object Builder, UWL, and workflow administration tools.
• Strong ABAP development experience across SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments.
• Experience with BRF+, Object-Oriented ABAP, CDS Views, and OData services.
• Strong understanding of workflow architecture, event handling, task management, rules, deadlines, substitutions, and escalation processes.
• Experience developing and supporting workflows across multiple SAP business modules.
• Strong understanding of business processes across Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, and related SAP functions.
• Experience with Fiori, UI5, My Inbox, SAP GUI, and Web Dynpro workflow interfaces.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills with experience resolving production workflow and ABAP issues.
• Proven ability to identify performance bottlenecks and implement effective ABAP and workflow optimisation strategies.
• Experience preparing technical design documents and translating functional requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong experience with end-to-end SAP development, including design, coding, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Hands-on experience with SAP BTP and familiarity with developing or working with BTP services.
• Strong understanding of SAP development standards, code quality, performance, and security practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills with the ability to work effectively with business and technical teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
