SAP ABAP Developer

How will you make an impact?

The SAP ABAP Developer provides ABAP development activities on a particularly assigned project based on the project requirements and the functional specs document.

What will you do?

• Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure business applications are developed in alignment with architectural standards, methodologies, and best practices

• Contribute programming expertise within project teams across the analysis, design, and development of SAP reports, interfaces, conversions, forms, and user exits

• Create and enhance data sources, infosets, and queries

• Design, develop, and support integrations with legacy and third-party systems using techniques such as LSMW, BAPI, IDOC, RFC, BDC, and call transaction updates

• Analyze and implement OSS Notes as required

• Adhere to the IT Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes

• Apply advanced debugging techniques to identify and resolve issues

• Produce comprehensive technical documentation where applicable

• Work within SAP ECC 4.7 and 6.0 environments as an SAP ABAP on HANA developer, utilizing ABAP Development Tools (ADT) in HANA Studio/Eclipse

• Track and communicate project progress to project management, proactively identifying risks or blockers and driving corrective actions

Education & experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field

• 3-5 years SAP ABAP development experience

• Proven ability utilizing BADI’s, BAPI’s, LSMW, ALE, RFC calls, IDOC, BDC, business objects, classes and methods, Adobe Forms, Smart Forms, SAPScripts, Data Dictionary, ALV

• Experience with implicit and explicit enhancements, screen exits, and menu exits

• ABAP debugging skills, workflow experience

• Experience in several of the following modules: SD/SM, FI/CO, MM/PP, QM

Tool & Technology Skills

• Proven ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment, in a high pressure environment with changing priorities

• Relevant technical certificates a plus

• Strong implementation knowledge on Native SQL, ADBC, External View, ABAP Core data Services, AMDP Procedures, Text Search, ALV on HANA.

• Practical experience in creating custom and enhance standard CDS view and AMDP class based on business requirement.

• Practical experience of implementing various available annotation in CDS.

• Strong Practical Knowledge of Code Performance Rules and Guidelines for SAP HANA

• Strong implementation knowledge of OData using CDS and AMDP

• Workflow experience, including support and debugging

• Knowledge of NetWeaver 7.0 experience is beneficial

• Knowledge of BI is beneficial

• Experience with other programming languages, such as Java, XML, is beneficial
