Job Description


This is a remote position.


We are looking for an experienced
SAP ABAP / S/4HANA Service Developer
to join an international Customer Service transformation program on
4 days per week basis
. The role focuses on developing and enhancing SAP S/4HANA Service solutions, supporting migration initiatives, and contributing to a modern, scalable service architecture.
You will work within a skilled, cross-functional team in a dynamic environment with a strong emphasis on continuous delivery, innovation, and long-term solution evolution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain SAP ERP and SAP S/4HANA Service (Advanced Execution) solutions

  • Support S/4HANA migration projects and ongoing system improvements

  • Contribute to a continuous delivery setup and multi-year service modernization roadmap

  • Design and build SAP Fiori / UI5 applications using modern UX principles

  • Implement business requirements using:

  • Exits, BAdIs, Enhancements

  • CDS Views and RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model)

  • OData services (V2/V4)

  • Design and maintain integrations and interfaces:

  • RFC, IDocs, OData, Web Services, ABAP Proxy

  • Collaborate closely with functional consultants, architects, and business stakeholders

  • Provide technical consulting to SAP Inhouse teams and IT projects

  • Support:

  • Quality management processes

  • Custom code lifecycle management

  • 3rd-level support and troubleshooting


Requirements


  • Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable field

  • Several years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development

  • Strong expertise in SAP CS or S/4HANA Service environments

  • Solid experience with:

  • SAP Fiori / UI5

  • CDS Views and RAP

  • Modern ABAP development practices

  • Experience working with integrations and interface technologies (RFC, IDoc, OData, APIs)

  • Ability to work effectively in both agile and traditional delivery models

  • Strong analytical mindset with a structured and independent way of working

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Fluent English (German is a plus)


Nice to Have:

  • Experience with additional SAP modules

  • Knowledge of:

  • SAP Workflow

  • SAP Script / Adobe Forms

  • Exposure to AI-assisted development tools or practices
