This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a SAP ABAP Consultant based in India.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to enterprise-scale SAP implementations and support initiatives within a global technology environment.
You will design, develop, enhance, and support robust SAP solutions using modern ABAP technologies.
The position combines hands-on development with opportunities to work across the full SAP lifecycle.
You will collaborate with technical and functional stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable, and business-focused solutions.
The role also provides exposure to modern SAP technologies such as BTP, RAP, Fiori, UI5, CDS Views, and OData.

Accountabilities:
- Develop, enhance, maintain, and support SAP applications using ABAP across full implementation and support lifecycles.
- Design and implement solutions using Object-Oriented ABAP, BAdIs, BAPIs, user exits, and other SAP development frameworks.
- Develop and maintain Adobe Forms to support business and operational requirements.
- Work with CDS Views, OData Services, and ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDP) to build efficient and scalable solutions.
- Contribute to modern SAP development initiatives involving BTP, RAP, Fiori, or UI5.
- Participate in technical analysis, solution design, development, testing, troubleshooting, and deployment activities.
- Collaborate with functional consultants and other technical stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Support SAP applications throughout their lifecycle, resolving issues and implementing enhancements as required.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and adoption of modern SAP development practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of professional SAP ABAP development experience, with proven exposure to full lifecycle SAP implementations and support.
- Strong proficiency in ABAP programming, including OO ABAP, BAdIs, BAPIs, and user exits
- Hands-on experience with Adobe Forms
- Strong knowledge of CDS Views, OData Services, and AMDP
- Professional working experience with at least one of SAP BTP, RAP, Fiori, or UI5 is required.
- RAP experience is considered an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Ability to work effectively with technical and functional teams in a collaborative environment.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to ownership and delivery.
- Ability to work the required shift schedule of 3:30 PM to 12:30 AM IST
- Immediate or short-notice availability is preferred.
