About the position (role & team):

We are looking for an experienced and adaptable Senior Product Designer to join our team for a 6 month maternity cover with possibility to extend You will be stepping into a key role, collaborating closely with our product and engineering teams to deliver impactful design solutions. While this is a temporary position, you will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to our product and user experience

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design projects: Take ownership of design initiatives from concept to delivery, ensuring high-quality user experiences.
• Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define requirements and translate them into intuitive designs.
• Conduct user research and testing: Gather insights to inform design decisions and validate solutions.
• Create prototypes and wireframes: Develop interactive prototypes to communicate design concepts and test usability.
• Maintain design systems: Contribute to and evolve our design system to ensure consistency and scalability.

As a core team member, you will:

• User-Centric Design: Deeply understand and address the needs and pain points of Optibus users
• Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to communicate design ideas
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure that designs are feasible and meet the needs of all stakeholders
• Continuous Improvement: Iteratively improve designs based on user feedback and testing results
• Tackle design challenges with creativity and a solutions-oriented mindset

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience designing a complex system/platform.
• Strong portfolio: A comprehensive portfolio showcasing your design process, problem-solving skills, and the impact of your work. ( Must include link to portfolio)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills: Ability to articulate design decisions and work effectively in a team environment.
• Experience leveraging AI tools to enhance design workflows, accelerate prototyping, or explore creative solutions (Bonus)
• Spanish language skills (Bonus): While not mandatory, proficiency in Spanish is a plus as you will be working closely with our team in Spain.
• Availability for 6 months: Commitment to the full duration of the maternity cover.
• This role requires being based in San Sebastian or its surrounding area, as we operate in a hybrid work model with three days per week in the office.
