The Sanitation Technician I performs routine manual work in the collection of garbage, trash, and yard waste within the Sanitation Section of the Public Works Division. Working as part of a collection crew, this position helps collect residential and commercial refuse, removes loose debris, and assists with maintaining sanitation vehicles and equipment.
This is a physically demanding position that requires the ability to perform heavy manual work continuously over extended periods and in varying weather conditions. Employees are expected to work safely, support their coworkers, and follow applicable OSHA standards, including those related to bloodborne pathogens.
