Job Description

Floating start times, but typically 3:00 AM - 11:30 AM and Rotating Days Off (Subject To Change)

General Purpose: Proper sanitation of machinery and equipment throughout production room.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Properly clean, wash and sanitize RMC, extruder, curd tables, COP tanks and molds
  • Clean and sanitize drains
  • Complete drain logs
  • Clean outside of starter and product tanks
  • Clean and foam floors as needed
  • Clean brine surge tanks whenever required
  • Inspect PPE used for cleaning and report or replace any damaged equipment
  • Complete MS work order and MS logs accurately and in a timely manner
  • Complete special cleaning projects i.e. passivation of equipment
  • Fill portable foamers with correct chemicals
  • Fill secondary chemical jugs with correct chemicals daily
  • Ensure all chemical containers have proper and legible labels on them
  • Weigh, document and dispose of garbage cheese
  • Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
  • Dedicate effort to safety as we expect every employee to leave work in the same condition as they arrive
  • Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements
  • Exhibit the values and ethics of Dairy Farmers of America through honesty, discretion, and sound judgment
  • Adhere to all DFA Quality, Safety and GMP policies and procedures and report any nonconformity
  • Attend required training, including but not limited to, Safety, GMP, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), and Safe Quality Foods (SQF)
  • Responsible for monitoring and taking corrective actions when necessary for a critical control point as part of the plant HACCP plan
  • Ensure that all documentation is done correctly and turned in promptly

Pay

  • Competitive pay - $21.60 - $26.00 per hour based on experience
  • Rate includes $1.00 shift differential for hours worked between 6 PM and 6 AM
  • Paid Overtime
  • Sign - On Bonus $1,500.00

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or General Education

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Must be able to work with all required PPE's when using chemicals
  • Must be able to complete all required documents correctly
  • Must be able to wear fall protection equipment when required
  • Must be able to complete all duties in a timely manner as required by production schedule
  • Must have a flexible schedule as this position does not have a set start time
  • Must be able to push and pull mold carts during mold changes and hand cleaning of the molds
  • Must be able remove and load molds from the RMC
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
