The Kraft Heinz Company is currently seeking a Sanitation Operator to work at our Mason City, Iowa, production facility. This role is an important part of keeping the facility clean, safe, and running smoothly while supporting food safety and daily operations.

What You Bring

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to work 12-hour 4x4 rotating schedule that included days, nights, weekends and holidays and overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous food manufacturing, sanitation, janitorial, or production experience
  • Knowledge of GMPs and food safety practices preferred
  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to safely operate floor scrubbers and other sanitation equipment after training
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety

Benefits and Compensation Overview:

  • Starting pay $18.00/hr.
  • Eligible for overtime compensation
  • 3 weeks (120 hours) of PTO (Paid Time Off)

Job Overview:

This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, safe, and GMP-compliant food production facility. The role supports food safety and daily operations through sanitation, cleaning, waste management, supply stocking, equipment operation, and reporting issues that could affect safety, quality, or compliance.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Complete assigned sanitation and cleaning tasks in production and non-production areas
  • Clean and sanitize floors, drains, sinks, equipment surfaces, and other designated areas
  • Perform scheduled sanitation work and follow established sanitation, GMP, and food safety procedures
  • Operate approved sanitation equipment safely and correctly
  • Stock and restock sanitation and GMP supplies throughout the facility
  • Remove trash and waste and help maintain clean interior and exterior facility areas
  • Report equipment, safety, pest, or facility concerns to the Supervisor
  • Support deep cleaning, shutdown sanitation, break relief, and other assigned duties
