Job Summary

The Sanitation team member will be responsible for ensuring that the production areas are cleaned and sanitized to meet company standards.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Safely disassembles and assembles equipment for proper cleaning, set-up line equipment prior to production run.
• Safely operates equipment and machines used in the cleaning and sanitation process.
• Follows the Food Safety, Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP), and Food Quality Plans.
• Performs cleaning procedures required by the Master Sanitation Schedule and other required duties to maintain assigned areas sanitary and clean.
• Perform general janitorial duties as needed.
• Attend required training, including but not limited to Safety and GMP. Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), and Safe Quality Foods (SQF)
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma
• HAACP certification preferred but not required.
• SQF certification preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
• Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.
• Must be able to visually inspect machines.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 70 pounds.
• Must be able to walk on wet floors.
