Job Description:
Reporting and Documentation.
Prepare timely weekly, monthly and quarterly activity reports, success stories, lessons learned and documentation of challenges and best practices.
Support community led total sanitations.
Facilitate community mobilisation, triggering, follow-up and verification processes to support communities to eliminate open defecation and progress towards Open Defecation Free (ODF) status.
Monitoring, Data Collection, Community Feedback and Accountability.
Collect, analyse and report data on sanitation coverage, open defecation, hygiene practices, facility functionality and behaviour change using approved monitoring tools and digital platforms. Facilitate community consultations and feedback mechanisms and ensure community concerns are addressed and incorporated into programme implementation.
Sanitation and Hygiene Promotion Planning.
Develop and implement sanitation and hygiene promotion work plans in line with project objectives, national policies, Sphere standards and WASH sector guidelines.
Hygiene Behaviour Change including Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM), Inclusion and Protection.
Design and implement context-appropriate hygiene promotion activities targeting critical behaviours, including handwashing with soap, safe water handling and storage, household sanitation, food hygiene and menstrual hygiene management. Promote safe and dignified menstrual hygiene practices and support the provision of appropriate facilities, information and materials for women and girls. Ensure sanitation and hygiene activities address the needs of women, girls, children, older persons and persons with disabilities, and promote safe and accessible facilities.
Coordination and Stakeholder Engagement.
Coordinate with government authorities, WASH Cluster partners, UNICEF, NGOs and community stakeholders to ensure harmonised sanitation and hygiene programming.
