Before it reaches our customer’s tap, drinking water is cleaned, disinfected and tested to ensure it’s safe to be consumed; after the water has been flushed and poured into our sewers, it’s delivered to our water recycling works, where it’s cleaned before it gets passed back to nature, where it’s also tested to ensure it’s not going to damage the environment.
We analyse and test hundreds of clean water and final effluent samples everyday.
Our samplers travel around the Anglian Water region visiting Anglian Water’s water treatment works and recycling centres, boreholes, reservoirs, rivers and customer properties collecting water samples and carrying out on-site chlorine tests.
We are looking for a Sampling Scheduler to assist in planning and co-ordinating the sampling programme to meet the regulatory and business need. You will operate our scheduling systems to ensure sampling events (planned and ad-hoc) are scheduled to ensure 100% compliance with regulatory and business requirements.
The role will liaise with the Sampling Managers to schedule workflow and resources proactively and dynamically.

Anglian Water supply water and water recycling services to more than six million domestic and business customers in the east of England and Hartlepool. Our services are at the heart of every single family and community in our region. We clean water to the highest standard, deliver it to millions of homes, and carefully manage it to ensure it never runs out.
We’re the largest water and water recycling company in England and Wales by geographic area. We’re also one of the driest regions in the country, with just 600 millimetres of rain each year, on average a third less than the rest of England. In fact some areas have a lower annual rainfall than Jerusalem. That’s why it’s vital that we look after the water that we’ve got.
