Labcorp is seeking a Sample Handling Assistant II to join our team at Yeshwantpur in

Bengaluru, Karnataka.

Job Responsibilities

The Sample Handling Assistant II is accountable for the receipt and the processing of data registration from requisition forms. The Sample Handling Assistant II will perform a variety of tasks.

Performs main functions of the department as needed, which includes but not limited to:

  • Accessioning: First & Second entry of patient demographics and administrative questions displayed on requisitions completed in a timely manner

  • Responsible for completing various batches according to their urgency and defined turnaround time.

  • Perform Accessioning or Data entry process under supervision of trainer with the expectations to perform Accessioning process independently after completion of training

  • Check and clean the CPP report

  • Check and clean the AD Pending

  • Creation of Batches using ImageNow and exporting them in Excel

  • Distribution of batches to teamwide, i.e. workload dealing

  • Verification of incoming volumes compared to the created batches, i.e. Volume Analysis

  • Email follow up with stakeholders

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Ensure received batches are timely processed.

  • Generate an appropriate audit trail of all activities.

  • Perform On-call and after-hours duties as needed.

  • Ensure concerned SOPs are timely read.

  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures and perform all departmental and interdepartmental SOPs as written.

  • Adhere to Home Office Policy stated by the company.

  • Perform all required training.

  • Maintain the training file correct and up to date.

  • Ensure proper documentation is made for future reference.

  • Work well within team environment.

  • Generate new ideas for departmental process improvement.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Science

Preferred Qualifications

1 year work experience in clinical research industry.

Master's Degree in Science

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to work in a team environment
