Project Description

Our client is live with ServiceNow HAM and SAM Pro but currently lacks integration between strategic sourcing (SAP Ariba) and ITAM. Entitlements are being set up manually in ServiceNow based on emails from sourcing, and entitlements need to be properly related to the correct models. This is a 20-week engagement to normalize Software Models, clean up inaccurate or unnecessary records, and relate Software Entitlements to the appropriate models. The client currently has one contractor on this effort and needs additional support.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Software Model Normalization: validate Publisher, Product, Version, Edition, and Product Type; confirm Licensable/Non-Licensable status; review Discovery Model mappings; validate suite parent, component, and inference relationships
• Perform Software Model Cleanup: identify and consolidate/retire duplicate, obsolete, or incomplete models; correct inaccurate classifications; remove unnecessary models only after confirming no dependencies exist; correct Discovery Model relationships
• Perform Entitlement Validation and Association: review license metric, quantity, version, edition, maintenance, and license rights; validate supporting purchase/contract information; create and relate entitlement records to the correct normalized Software Model
• Perform Reconciliation and Quality Validation: run reconciliation cycles, review unmatched installations and unallocated entitlements, validate suite recognition and license calculations, and use results to identify further corrections

Mandatory Skills

• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro repository management
• Experience with software model normalization, cleanup, and entitlement-to-model association
• Strong understanding of license reconciliation processes and compliance validation
