Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail‑oriented summer student to support our vessel documentation, tracking, and process development initiatives. The successful candidate will assist in building and maintaining accurate records within our digital platforms, support internal and external registry requirements, and contribute to the creation and improvement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This role is ideal for a student who is comfortable with repetitive data entry tasks and values precision, consistency, and thoroughness in their work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating a comprehensive vessel catalog within MaintainX.
  • Support internal and external vessel registry processes, including tracking and documentation updates.
  • Assist in the development, review, and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Assist with building and deploying Microsoft Lists and Microsoft Forms used for tracking and data collection.
  • Support vessel audits by gathering information, organizing findings, and updating records.
  • Maintain accurate, organized, and up‑to‑date records for all assigned tasks and documentation.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Currently enrolled in a post‑secondary program (business, technology, engineering, marine studies, or a related field preferred).
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy.
  • Comfortable performing repetitive data entry and record‑keeping tasks.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficient with digital tools; experience with Microsoft 365 applications (Lists, Forms, Excel) considered an asset.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with operational and administrative teams.
  • Self‑motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
