TITLE: Salon Supervisor

LOCATION: Cliff Spa, Snowbird Resort

STATUS: Full-Time

SCHEDULE: Monday-Sunday 9:45am-4:00pm/12:15pm-6:30pm

  • Must be available to work 4 shifts based on business needs, including weekends and holidays.
  • Shifts may vary from early morning to late evening depending on business levels.

SUMMARY

As the full-time Salon Supervisor, you’ll elevate the Cliff Spa Salon by supporting the staffing and training of skilled stylists and estheticians, ensuring they are well-informed about current laws, procedures, and training materials. You will oversee all salon and esthetics services, ensuring a clean, organized, and well-staffed environment. You’ll manage staffing adjustments, track client satisfaction, handle inventory needs, and maintain the overall upkeep of the salon.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Lead and support a team of up to 10 employees. Hire, train, schedule, and coach team members to deliver excellent service.
  • Perform all spa menu services under professional license.
  • Respond to guest questions and take action to resolve customer complaints.
  • Uphold Snowbird’s standards for professionalism, appearance, and guest interaction.
  • Collaborate with other managers to optimize spa operations.

WHAT YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB DONE

  • Current Utah Cosmetology or Master Esthetics license.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the field. Management experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving and organizational skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Multitasking is a must.
  • Familiarity with or ability to learn Book4Time, Square and Microsoft Office suite.
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure.

WORK SCHEDULE

  • Schedule varies and may include early mornings, late evenings, weekends and holidays. Full-time and flexible schedule required.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs, bend and stand on your feet for long periods of time.  Work environment involves minimal exposure to physical risks, such as operating dangerous equipment or working with chemicals.
  • Must be prepared to stay overnight during road closures.
  • May experience unusual stress from continual work with public, winter conditions, snow night requirements and commuting to/from Snowbird.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and bend repeatedly.
  • Must be able to deal with guest and/or employee conflicts in a productive manner and make decisions quickly.
  • Must have the ability to interact at any time with guests and other employees in a pleasant manner and maintain good working relationships with others and all departments at Snowbird.
