Salary Range: $24.00 - $25.00 Hourly
Position Summary: The Salon Manager oversees the Spa Salon and respective employees. There is a large focus on retailing, services and sales goals in these areas and the Salon Manager is responsible for meeting those goals respectively. Nurture the experience of all Glen Ivy guests, from the initial greeting to the warm farewell in the Spa Salon. He or she will manage sales, staff, schedules, and product; ensure operational and merchandising functions of the Salon are in place and utilized in order to attain maximum profitability, productivity, and superb guest service. The Salon Manager will assist in employee oversight for Spa Attendants, Spa Concierge, and Massage Therapists when necessary.
License(s): First Aid and CPR certified within the first year of employment, Responsible Beverage Server Certification Required
Education/Training: High School Diploma or equivalent required, Esthetician or Nail Technician license a plus, some college with a concentration in Hospitality Management appreciated, current license in Massage Therapy or Cosmetology a plus but not required, Supervisory experience preferred. A member of a professional organization such as ISPA, ABMP, AMTA, PBA, or NCEA preferred
Experience: Candidate must have leadership experience, minimum of Supervisory role 1-2 years hospitality experience preferred 2-3 years Salon experience preferred Merchandising experience a plus Resort/Spa experience, a plus Experience with POS software, a plus

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain a daily, consistent presence amongst Service Providers
- Guest recovery
- Adjust service provider’s schedules
- Participate in pre-shift meetings (Department and company)
- Daily or Weekly updates and recap to the Director of Spa and Spa Manager
- Completion of Purchase Orders
- Motivation of staff and management of staff incentives in Salon
- Sales Goals- daily, weekly, monthly, annual
- Managing Stock levels in Salon Area walks for stock and cleanliness
- Execution of the Marketing Calendar initiatives; put together the product for photo shoots, gift packages, etc.
- Communication to staff any and all pertinent information Be available to attend trade shows as needed
- Participate in the Quarterly department meetings
- Ensure treatment room utilization is at maximum profitability; closely monitoring and adjusting service provider schedules
- Enforce treatment room sanitation and treatment room equipment maintenance/inventory
- Ensure Salon is compliant with all state board regulations
- Deliver routine coaching, performance improvement plan counseling’s and corrective actions to employees
- Ensure current licensing, continuing education and license renewals are following the Service Provider License Renew Policy Drive and support retail sales minimums in Salon
- Oversee product control, inventory and purchasing of necessary budgeted supplies with monthly cycle counts and quarterly full retail and back bar inventories
- Ensure completion of the service provider’s Balanced Score Cards Update quarterly schedule alignment based on Balanced Score Card number within the job families
- Work with the Marketing Team, Training Team and the Operations Team in determining scheduling needs/demands
- Respond to pre-booked and projected service reports
- Visit service buildings for regular check in’s
- Exemplify a positive attitude at all times
- Build and maintain strong relationships with individual employees, other Managers, and leadership, all Glen Ivy Associates and Glen Ivy vendors
- Actively participate in brainstorming & creative idea sessions
- Hold Estheticians accountable for retail sales expectations on a pay period basis per the current
- Retail Sales Amendment Maintaining the Purchase Order Log
Additional Responsibilities:
- Edit/audit department documents in the Glen Ivy Way as needed
- Enforce dress code, policies and procedures Actively participate in the Glen Ivy Way
- Be familiar with Service Protocols
- In-directly supervise Massage Therapists, Spa Concierges, Spa Attendants and Spa Services Supervisors
- Act as Manager on Duty as needed Provide follow up training and assessments of newly hired employees
- Address guest concerns with employees and log on the infractions log.
- Schedule retraining on an “as needed” basis
- Delivers on the esthetic vision of the owners and operators in Salon Support and nurture employees in developing their skills
- Motivate the team to meet/exceed daily, weekly and monthly sales goals
- Maintain knowledge of current trends in the Salon/resort/wellness/Retail industries and share with the team
- Ensure that the team attends required meetings: sales, safety, monthly dept., and participate others as needed
- Be involved in the interview process; interview and complete necessary paperwork to fill open positions
- Address inter-department compliance issues
- Oversee physical inventories and regular cycle counts
- Work with Warehouse and Purchasing Coordinator to ensure all products are ordered, received, properly priced/coded and have a sensor prior to reaching the sales floor
- Support for high traffic days and related holidays i.e. Christmas, summer and special events/promotions
- Ensure staff is able to take proper lunch breaks and provide coverage as needed for Breaks
- Constant review of profitability
- Collaborate with all Departments
- Monitor and report guest count throughout the day and recommend/make adjustments to staffing levels as needed and implement flash sales, etc.
- Track and report on promotions as per the individual plan
- Lead or participate in the daily pre-shift meetings
- Prepare staff for the day ahead in a manner that is positive and that encourages camaraderie and build a cohesive team environment
- Opening and Closing duties as needed
- Delivers on the esthetic vision of the owners in Salon
- Assist in staff training in product knowledge, brand identity, general Resort information
- Post positive guest comments from survey for employees to review
- Meet labor budget
- Oversee product control using the first in first out policy
