Job Description

FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify parts and part numbers customers are requesting.
  • Process customer inquiries, submit quotations on a timely fashion and process sales orders.
  • Generate sales orders from telephone calls, fax, and e-mail requests.
  • Monitor the flow of documentation and products to ensure products are received by the warehouse personnel in a timely manner.
  • Ensure orders are professionally handled by working closely with the warehouse, buyer, manufacturer, customer, and customer’s freight forwarder.
  • Follow up on the order status and update customers.
  • Work closely with the warehouse in preparation of shipping documents, etc.
  • Work closely with other team members and ensure customers get quotes properly reflecting NOV’s integrity and consistency.
  • Ensure quotation and order files are well maintained with necessary info, per company policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for receiving and shipping products related to customer orders and internal requests for parts and equipment.
  • Will be responsible for accurately receiving, running the reservations, picking, and packing orders, labeling, inventory control, cycle count, and all other general duties.
  • Material Handling - moving material including the use of a reach truck or forklift.
  • Participate in shop inspections/investigations; including warehouse, environment, equipment and HSE incidents.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Microsoft Office experience is required.
  • SAP or Oracle ERP experience is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ customer service experience required.
  • Forklift and Reach Truck operating experience required.
  • Warehouse experience required.
  • Knowledge of oilfield equipment preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand drawings and prints is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs. is required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Overtime may be required.
  • On-call rotation is required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
