Job Description

Responsibilities:

The Salesforce Release Admin is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of Salesforce releases, ensuring smooth system transitions, platform stability, and the successful delivery of new features and enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

Release Planning & Deployment

• Prepare deployment documentation, including:

  • Release Notes

  • Method of Procedure (MOP)

  • Rollback MOP

  • PD Steps

  • Activity Tracker

• Execute deployment activities and coordinate release schedules

• Conduct mock deployments prior to actual release

• Perform code comparison and validation checks

Governance, Controls & Quality Assurance

• Perform control checks and ensure adherence to quality gates

• Verify that QA testing is completed in the source sandbox before promoting code to higher environments

• Ensure all required approvals are secured prior to deployment

• Track and manage deployment approvals from stakeholders

• Identify, assess, and mitigate deployment risks

Stakeholder Coordination

• Follow up on approvals from BPI stakeholders (ISG, ITPM, and Business)

• Send deployment completion notifications after successful releases

• Issue deployment cancellation notices when applicable

Documentation & Repository Management

• Maintain and store all deployment artifacts in designated deployment repositories

Required Skills

• With at least 3 years relevant experience

• Working knowledge of Salesforce development

• Hands-on experience with JavaScript and APEX

• Familiarity with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC)

• Working knowledge of JIRA and COPADO

Certifications & Experience

• Salesforce Administrator Certification

• Fundamentals 1 – Source Format Pipeline Certification Trail

• Fundamentals 2 – Source Format Pipeline Certification Trail

• Proven experience in Salesforce release and deployment management
